  • Some videos of me doing what I do best. With my girl, too!

    No pics...yet.

Here's some vids of my HK416 and HK SL8-6 in action. Also, I have a sweet one-legged-standing pistol stance with a Sig P226 Elite.

Overall impressions...the 416 and SL8 are both great, reliable rifles. Nothing else can really be said about them that hasn't already been said. And if you don't know, I have a broken ankle, so all of the standing vids were done either with my cast resting on the bench or I was standing on one leg. Safe? Absolutely not. Recommended? DEFINITELY not. But was it still fun? Yup.

Shooting with my girlfriend's younger brother. His first time ever shooting a weapon. In part two, I was suckin' a little bit. I'm still working on my follow up shots with this new Geissele trigger.

And this is why I HATE cheap surplus ammo. I'll never buy that South African crap ever again.

And here's Jessica shooting my SOCOM 16. HILARIOUS.

The SOCOM 16 is pretty nice, but you have to be careful what ammo you run through it. Because of the shorter barrel, you'll run into issues with FTF's/FTE's with the hard punching ammo because the gas regulator in the M1A wasn't designed for the 16" barrel. I've had great results shooting the American Eagle M1A specific .308. It's around $18 a box, but I don't think you'll be running through .308 like you would .223.

Good times right there! Ever try the Yugo surplus out there in the 7.62x39? Heard it works ok as long as you're cool with the corrosiveness...

Unfortunately, I don't have any first hand experience; but I've been on the receiving end of plenty of 7.62x39 and I have a feeling that some of those guys might've used ammo of Yugo descent.

At least you can laugh about it now...probably not so funny when the lead's flying...

Have a buddy that just got back from Afghanistan, he was actually bummed about not being to got out on patrol and having to stay on base pushing paper. Then again, he's a SEAL and kind of wired that way...

They were some of the most wholesome experiences of my life. I cherish them all because each and every one taught me lessons that can only be learned the hard way.

                          Thank you, riffraff.
