  • Venues/clubs in your area - need your help

Fellow metal brethren... I need your help. I am putting together a comprehensive list of rock clubs across the US that would be good places for ebomb to play in the not-too-distant future. We will be looking to start booking outside AZ in 2011 (already setting up a SW regional tour of Flagstaff, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Vegas - L.A. is in the works) but we're going to want to come to most of the states eventually.

Can you help me by telling me what clubs you know of that book touring bands? It would be VERY much appreciated! And if this works out and we come to your city, I'd be honored to comp my long-time JCF bros with some ebomb tickets and finally get the chance to meet you in person!

Station 4 in St. Paul, MN is pretty much the go-to place, especially with so many other venues around here closing. It's probably going to be a bit rough this fall and throughout the winter (at least) due to road construction, but it's a decent place to play. I've dealt with a number of different people when booking my own band there, so I'll just suggest going through the website:

Worcester Palladium in Worcester Mass. Pretty much metal capital venue in Mass. I have seen Opeth, In Flames, Soilwork, Nevermore, Shadows Fall, Lacuna Coil, (some of them several times) and a whole slew of other bands there.

Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana books a lot of both national and regional acts, and it's in Orange County.

Here in MS, there's a place in D'Iberville called Guitars & Cadillacs. Primarily a country place but they do have rock shows and a decent size stage/show area. There are also a lot of casinos, they mostly offer "seasoned" older national acts. At the IP Casino my friend David Drake books acts at their "Chill" club and may be booking acts for their Studio B in future. By way of comparison, I saw Kansas in Studio B in March 2009. Probably a 1500-seater. Not sure if he'd have the latitude to book your genre but he did recently post on Facebook that he's looking to shake things up. I think your band would shake things up alright!

+1, and it's owned by the same guy as The Coach House a little south of there...almost San Diego...

In San Diego, the only places for metal are Brick by Brick (Alex is the owner & guy to talk to - http://www.brickbybrick.com/) and The Mainstage (way out in Ramona - http://www.ramonamainstage.com/). Reasonable guys to talk to, shouldn't extract a pound of flesh to play there.

There's also SOMA (which is more the teen-emo-nu-metal scene), House of Blues (bigger nightclub), and The Casbah (more alt-rock), PM me if you need more info! - Anthony

Very awesome! Big thanks! So far my list is coming along nicely! Keep 'em comin'!

FWIW, in the Phoenix area there's Club Red and 910 Live in Tempe. Joe's Grotto is great. Many of the clubs I used to play in the 90's are gone so I'm not sure where else. Tucker says The Venue is good. Marquee Theater is good, too, but for larger national acts, mostly.
