Hey I just won a brand new Apple iPad for my work on an "innovation project" at work. Pretty sweet. Still in the box all wrapped up. Wonder if I can trade it for a guitar...

They are pretty cool toys to keep actually. There is an app called Guitar Toolkit that is a killer practice and reference tool. Tuner, metronome, chord and scale reference including a reverse lookup feature that I love. (You punch up your finger positions and it tells you what chord you are playing.)
Plus you can easily peruse the JCF while taking epic toilet breaks.GTWGITS! - RacerX

Tethering is easy if you're jailbroken.
Otherwise it's expensive. I believe AT&T charges you $45 per month if you want to "officially" tether.
And they cap your data to 2GB per month... no unlimited data plans for tethering.Last edited by rjohnstone; 09-21-2010, 01:18 PM.-Rick

Nothing to wrestle with really. User jailbreaks are pretty simple these days.
Once the jailbreak is done, you simply get access to Cydia... a fantastic source of apps and utilities that Apple won't allow in the App store.
If you ever have to go to Apple for a warranty repair, simply restore the phone with a fresh OS install. (Apple will make you do this anyway as part of their troubleshooting procedures).
It wipes all evidence of the jailbreak thus maintaining your warranty.-Rick
