A lot like the Pens on Saturday...up 2-1 with 3 minutes to go and lose in regulation! Fleury sucks...he can make some great saves but gives up far too many easy/sloppy goals. He has the concentration of a coked out gerbil with ADHD. They put Johnson between the pipes last night to notch their first W.

Flyers keep looking impressive. Giroux is on his way to a 50 goal season.

Another team that's jumped out at me is the Blues. I think they're going to be a team to pay attention to this year.

Giroux is going to be a prime time player. Can he sniff out short handed markers or what. He absolutely ripped the heart out of the Av's last night. Rupe, Fleury will recover and be fine. Honestly, I think the D plays tighter when Johnson's in net, but take Fleury for granted. Yeah, Gomez's goal was a softy, but if the D had been doing their job he'd never have gotten that jump in the first place.

The first two games were all about the Pens squandered chances. By the way, where are Sid and Gino? I keep seeing them on the ice, but can't seem to find much on the score sheet. They have to take over, and soon...

Mike Modano returns to Dallas a Red Wing tonight. Stars vs. Wings at 8:30pm EDT in NHL Network.

Penguins STILL have yet to win a game in their new building, 0 for 3, thought for sure they would get a win last night since the Leafs were in town..

Leafs are undefeated with a +6 goal differential. Who'd have predicted that?

I wasn't surprised they lost. Fleury's still looking like swiss cheese, the defense has been terrible so far, and no first or second line scoring to speak of. My prediction is that Fleury sits on the pine for the next few games to "refocus"...

Looks like the Pens are missing Gonchar bigtime on the PP. The guy's worth was underrated, key player QB'in the PPU

I said it in the past...he was one of the most important players on that squad. They seriously miscalculated when letting him go IMO.
Johnson between the pipes tonight...I hope he earns the starting job. Dump Fleury and his #1 overall pick salary and build up the D...and maybe get a winger who isn't shocked everytime a Crosby pass comes his way.

they should have looked at their records with Gonchar in the lineup compared to the record when he wasn't (due to injury). Seems like when Pittsburgh had issues it was when Gonchar was hurt.

Pens should get their first win in the new building tonight...friend of mine is hoping so as he'll be there

Rupe, I think the Pens are gonna be fine. Considering the key players who are out right now, they've played closer in games than I expected, but I'm one of those people who always expects the worse. Fleury is a great goalie who still has more years to play. No way the Pens would have won the Cup without his play in goal. He's young, but he'll bounce back. Seriously, watch the play tonight. The Pens D bears down more when Johnson is in goal. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we have Johnson. Best second goalie this team has had in a long damn time.

I agree with you and Shawn, Gonchar is sorely missed. Goligoski and Letang need to shoot the puck instead of giving up the odd man rush trying to make a fancy pass, and when they shoot the puck it would be nice to see it on goal once in a while.

Here's hoping for a win tonight for sure.

Squeeked by the Isles with a sloppy OT goal...these guys are not playing good hockey. At least they finally got some points in the new digs.
