      I have a cell phone that averages about 5-15 minutes of use per year (not month). I have an ipad and my wife has an ipod touch for GPS and other stuff.

            I have a cell but no house phone.
            Don't see the need for both.

                I watched a friend of a friend knock someone out cold with an old motorola brick phone in a bar altercation. I don't think you could pull that off with a modern cell phone.

                  Wife and I both use Tracphone, and for 200 dollars a year between the two
                  we can't seem to use up the minutes.
                  So I end up using it to avoid long distance charges.

                  Just a mobile pay-phone for me, I hardly ever use it except for emergency or to eat up all that time.

                  Funny thing is we usually can get clear cell signal where some others can't.
                  I joke that Tracphone hijacks other signals, that's why it's so cheap.
