$9.33 a gallon for gas/petrol

its just hit £6 per gallon that’s $9.33. my little mx5 / miata does 35 mpg i may have to sell it to get a diesel that does 50+. its costing me £200 pcm that’s about $311. i do maybe 1200 miles a month.


id get a bus / train but its not workable grr. I need new guitars, how long would it take to walk 30 miles to work?

Ouch! I was in Orlando yesterday and the rental car cost me 3.05$ a gallon.

Back in Montreal, we are around at 1.17$ per liter. Thats approx 4.43$ a gallon.

When our troops invade a country on a bullshit mission, they could at least give us cheaper juice. My fucking Jag hasn't been taxed since last month (no way I was taking it out in the snow), but I'm not going to put it back on the road now either because of the price of petrol.
Diesel's dearer, which is a fucker too, I'm afraid I'm seriously researching purifying Red Diesel to put in my Discovery. Looks like you can't clean it, but fuck it, I think I'll just stick it in the tank anyway, I can't afford to go anywhere. Fuck David Cameron, fuck George Osbourne, fuck the lot of them.

Small fact, with all the diesel cars running atm there's a surpluss on regular gas

Not sure about over there, but red diesel here has much higher sulphur content. Some newer engines optimized for the cleaner fuel don't get along well with the old formulation.

Are plug-in hybrids hitting the market over there yet? At those fuel prices, I'd have to think hard about getting one, especially if I did mostly short trips.

Here electricity is cheap but I have yet to see an hybrid at a decent price and that doesn't look like a weirdo's car. Even the dashboards have all those useless and stupid animation in them.

No kidding, if they'd make a hybrid that wasn't just asking to be made fun of, maybe they'd sell more. You know these marketing genius' just can't make head or tails of common sense stuff. If you'd paint one black, had more points and straight lines, then named it the Karbon Killer. Diamond plate on the dashboard, and a huge ashtray(for cigs of course, no roachs here officer). A car any Slayer fan would get into.

There you go GM, another billion dollar idea, see what you can do with it.

I'm with ya... How come they can't make a basic electrical/hybrid car? No gizmos. And something that looks normal.
