This is very sad. What's even sadder is he was only 58. Still had plenty of guitar playing years left.
      RIP Gary

wow, that sucks. Gary has been a favourite of mine since first hearing him play, right around when Victims came out. I can't say I play anything like him but he was a huge influence on me. He was sorely under appreciated by the greater public.
          Hail yesterday

That is real sad news; first time I saw him was in March 84 ! Ian Paice was on drums - what a show !!!
And he created (with Phil Lynott) one of the most beautiful tunes of all time:
SMD CD 123;1997;Gary Moore - Loooking at You; Disc Two; Track No. 9.

I'd never heard of Gary Moore until now, but looking up a few vids, he was awesome!

What would you guys suggest as a good CD to get? Preferably with Thin Lizzy

Tell me I'm not the only one who is thinking "What's happening with THE Les Paul"? (Yep, THAT one. I'm sure Uncle Gary promised me I could have it when he was gone)
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!

                      I nearly broke her back

Just get Corridors of Power and Rockin' Every Night !
Then you'll know, what he is (was) all about - my humble opinion (no Thin Lizzy though)

Black Rose. It's old, but getting past that, you will find it a masterpiece. Especially the last track: Roisin Dubh.

are you talking about the Peter Green LP? Didn't Gary sell that a couple of years ago?

I was a big Gary fan as a kid, one of my top 3. I wore Corridors of Power out, especially the track Cold Hearted.

I think Corridors was a top 5 guitar album of the 80's. Maybe not the absolute best songwriting (but good) but the playing and tones were just unbelievable.
