The government just announced "scheduled blackouts" so my power will be off and on starting later today and supposedly until April. But stuff in my town is generally back to business as usual, so don't worry if you don't hear from me for a few days.
In other news, the JSDF Navy rescued a guy who had been drifting on the roof of his house 15km (a little less than 10 miles) off the coast this AM! This kind of shit makes me feel that my tax yen are going to good use!Last edited by QuantumRider; 03-13-2011, 02:11 PM.Until you get weaned off the boobie, you are going to have to do what the wife wants too. -Rsmacker

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Glad the Japanese government spends their tax money on their citizens, unlike other countries.

AFAIK Gilbert has already been fired.
There's no way joking about a situation like this can be considered funny.
My thoughts are with Japan as well.
The whole story is just plain horrible. Let's hope things are not getting worse from this point.
That was a lot of shit at once happening to these people...tremstick give-away (performer series trem)

There has been 494 of them in Japan in the last week..
Yes, Gilbert Gottfried has been fired, they have already announced a nation wide talent search (at least that is what the pathetic morning radio show here said)... Bet he didn't know that 75% of AFLAC's business is in Japan..Last edited by stevieb91; 03-15-2011, 03:59 PM.Bon Jovi is like a frozen Coca Cola.. The quake last night was a pretty good shaker.
My family and I are staying inside this AM, because the winds are blowing south from Fukushima (where the power plant is) until this afternoon, at which point it will blow out to sea again. I called my grandma just a few minutes ago and warned her to stay inside, she laughed it off, saying,
"I'm 96 years old, and lived through WWII. You think a little radiation is going to kill me any quicker?"

I would imagine many are more than a little shell shocked.. Every little tremor must scare the living hell out of little kids..
As for Grandma.. God Bless her.. Many of us should hope to see that age, and be that feisty..Bon Jovi is like a frozen Coca Cola.. It's cool, it's crunchy, but when all is said and done it is still pop....
