  • Gibson plant in Memphis?

Might be unemployed soon. Anyone know if they're hiring?

    Matt,

I work in Nashville and hear a lot of the local talk. I don't know about out there, but Gibson Corporate is rumoured to be one of the worst places to work for.

You want to work for a company who came up with this:

      ...And this:

      ?
It's all about the blues-rock chatter.

        Beats making a product I don't use :p

I'm not looking for office work - I want production floor. Setups, building, stuff like that.

If you want a job building guitars you better make sure they don't find that pic of the Halford Warrior.

I wasn't planning on telling them I had any Jacksons, actually. No sense having to punch out the interviewer when he starts extolling the virtues of 22 fret unFloyded weight-relieved overpriced guitars and belittling guitars that kill whatever Gibson makes

Er, assaulting the interviewer isn't exactly high on the list of recommended interview procedures, there, Matt!

But I'd expect no less from you (on an online thread anyway, you Internet Tough Guy, you!)

You never know until you try. I say go for it, the worst they'd do is say you're 'overqualified.' Good Luck.
