Went and saw "Insidious" tonight at the local Imax.
Couple of good scares in there (one in particular is the first time I've actually jumped during a movie. We had people walk out shaking after *the scare*)
Ending is pretty lame, however. The climax is pretty far out there, even for a movie of this genre. Like you'll read in a lot of the other reviews, this is more Poltergeist than The Grudge/The Ring (or *insert creepy ghost movie #13210 here*) and is actually pretty damn good apart from the abrupt ending.
If you haven't seen it and you're a fan of horror films, I'd say it's worth checking out. The atmosphere of the flick is good enough to warrant atleast one viewing and even for the few shortcomings it has it makes up for it with nice pacing and no "fluff" like you see in a lot of modern horror films.
