OK.. so did anyone else see Nuno on American Idol with Rianna (or whatever her name is)? It all seemed live until Nuno stepped up to play his solo and OBVIOUSLY was not playing it live. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

Not even close to appearing live to someone who plays guitar.

I'm upset... I love Nuno. If Zakk can play live.. so should Nuno.

Nuno is working for Rihanna, she's the invited artist and not him. It's not his call, and it was probably a bit more involved to set up al of Rihanna's stuff than it was for Zakk to accompany James Durbin. Sucks but that's the way it goes.

Some YT videos have an audio delay...maybe that's what we're seeing? or did it look like that on TV, too?

btw.. there was no audio delay. Thats what I thought at first and then I double checked on youtube this am.. same thing. Best I can figure is that it is a previously recorded live performance. In other words... they set up earlier in the day.. did a few takes and played that back so it has that "live" sound but they have no fear of screwing the pooch. I've noticed that Idol has gotten crafty with this type of thing. The little numbers they all do at the start of the show use to be obviously lip synced... now they start off live and then at some point blend over to a previously recorded track.

Maybe he figures that if he isn't allowed to play it live it's better to show his displeasure with that by making it really obvious that he is not really playing? If Rihanna can't tell the diff, why should he care?

Making it obvious that he is really not playing, would be idiotic. He isn't making any cool statement doing so, other than looking like a jerk. Either you synchronize 100% or you don't do the performance.

Yeah.. but Lady Gaga's is further than Nuno's...so whats that say? I tell you what it says.. its says the music industry sucks balls and that it not only disregards talent.. but takes the talented (like Nuno) and forces them to work with NO talent HACKS to pay the rent. Its a shame that someone as talented as Nuno has to compromise their integrity just so the hacks can look 'professional". It truly is sad.
