Bin Laden Dead

I really think and this is my opinion.
As its stating the obvious, such an incident will get much media attention globally.
But really, who cares if his burial at sea offends muslim beliefs or not taking muslim beliefs into consideration and so and so forth?
Again stating the obvious, they (muslim attack on 911) didn't care about American beliefs nor what we thought the standard protocol of how an American should die.
So no, don't throw the whole "value a human life" scenario or equation card out.
Again stating the obvious, there is legit video and documentation when 911 happened - bin laden praised that it happened.
What goes around comes around.
Those who live by the sword die by the sword.
You get what you ask for and ask for what you get.
He had it coming.
Were not talking about billy who had a really bad day and went postal, bin laden is a world known top wanted terrorist.
Don't be confused, if America didn't get him somebody or some other nation would have.
He was a dead man walking.
Rumors of two gun shots to the head?
Not sure why this is an issue or concern in question.
He didn't comply, he didn't surrender - this is when common sense steps in - thus he got shot and received deadly wounds to the head.
Who cares? He's dead.
His death isn't worth much of my time and this is all the time I'm gonna give it.

Point is, the US administration showed that it was civilised and noble by dealing with the matter quickly and efficiently and announcing it in a very concise and straightforward manner rather than gloating over it like a bunch of dicks. It's all about the blues-rock chatter.

*EDIT: And on a side note...we didn't just chase him around Pakistan. There's a good period of time he could have been back in his homeland of Saudi Arabia. I don't know, but given the non-existant borders between countries over there, there's no telling how long we've been close to him or how far we've had to go to make it happen.

I'm no religious expert but I don't think you can pin 9/11 on all the Muslims. Many Muslims were killed in the WTC attacks.
Personally, I agree, for all the innocent people he had a hand in murdering before, on and after 9/11, he didn't deserve to be honored with his faith's own rituals of death, but I'm sure a lot of people smarter than me on foreign policy thought it was the way to go.
Not sure how your corpse getting nibbled on by Nemo and Spongebob Squarepants really fits with the Muslim tradition either, but what can you do.Last edited by Larz; 05-02-2011, 04:31 PM.Jackson KV2

How did he go from the US training him to fight the Russians in Afganistan to him going home after that war was over and working for his family to hating Americans? look at the 1990 date. Yes he was a nut, but we set him off.
The west encouraged terrorism against Soviet Union and then started dealing with their internal conflicts.
Let's see what we have here now. In Russian border provinces "terrorism" pretty much happens daily. Some people have only seen death and destruction since they were born. They don't know nothing other than hate. Russia has huge amounts of muslims and a lot of corruption making it easy to get funds for weapons. But most people don't have a clue about it nor care because it's not happening in Moscow or Sankt-Peterburg.
Most of the time they are fighting against each other. Russia of course is bordering the Middle-East and Central-Asia, making all the clans highly aware and involved.
They are so dense that anything will piss them off more and more. Russia having a right-wing semi-fascist leaders who have no problem that the country has the biggest amount of skinheads in the world who parade constantly and beat the shit out of immigrants makes things worse. But not as much as western countries coming far away to stick their noses into business not their own. This stupid crap goes on and on. Now this shit with Libya, it would not be surprising if bombs go off in Paris and London. Fucking dipshit politicians enjoy their games while we who have to work and and travel constantly from one metropolis to another, can be blown up because of it. Amen. Hellbat, well said.
And Larz, I agree. I'm glad someone finally said that. I worked (here in the USA) for a Muslim employer in 2001 when the September 11 attacks happened. He was heartbroken and let everyone have a few days off to recover. He lost family and friends in those attacks, just as many of us did. The muslims don't hate Americans. Al Qaeda hates us, and that was fueled by the ravings of a demented man. Many muslims believed every word he said, and finally those hateful words have been silenced.
I have much respect for muslims, and it's good that we honored their faith with a proper burial. We are allowed proper burials for our fallen troops, even though they are hated by many over there. It's just the right thing to do. We were not respecting bin Laden himself, we were respecting the greater peoples there who are just trying to live their lives amid the chaos and war...My Gear: Stoneman SG-1, Hufschmid Tantalum H6, ESP KH-6, Sully #8 JCF One-Off, Templar GuitarWorks Relic Prototype, James Hetfield Tribal Hunt KL Explorer, Coobeetsa CCG-10-DX PRO Eagle, Schecter Hellraiser C-1 Hybrid, Daly Heiro Custom, Gibson Les Paul Custom, Gibson SG Menace, Peavey Vypyr 60 Tube
