  • Steel, Brass, Copper Guitar Picks: Opinions?

Has anyone tried metal guitar picks like the ones offered on MF?

I recently bought some Jazz III picks and liked how rigid the Ultex was. I was wondering if metal picks might be useful in this regard and add to tone as well. Any opinions on metal picks or Ice Pix?

    TIA

I have been using steel picks for a while now . I work in a tool shop and I had one of are vendors make be a bunch of them . I find it easier to play with them . I am heavy handed when I pick and they do not wear out . They are a litte hard on strings though . I have not broke any more or less using them though . They just smooth out the wound strings and use a leave a trail of you picking pattern .

You could probably achieve something similar with a dremel cutting disc and then some clean up grinding afterwards. Plus you could make them sharp enough to kill!
