  • opened for cinderella/dokken friday...

And what a clusterfuck. lol. Cinderella had a SIX HOUR soundcheck. Yep. Screwed the whole schedule up. Of course we got 10 feet of stage and no soundcheck, but shit happens, still had a blast. Jon levin from dokken smokes and his tone is phenomenal. don, on the other hand? WOW. I couldve sang those tunes better than he does. Awful. Painfully obvious hes just collecting a paycheck at this point.

Tom keifer had bronchitis, and still came out and kicked ass. They sounded excellent. And cool guys also.
Its a complete catastrophe. But Im a professional, I can rise above it. LOL

They better sound excellent after a six hour sound check! But seriously, what was the delay? If they were cool guys I assume they weren't just being divas.

All that aside, that is awesome that you got to open for two bands that I have paid to see multiple times. Congrats.

That wasn't a sound check, that was rehearsal. LOL

My condolences for having to be seen with those two.

Cool story clifffclaven!!! If ever I had such an opportunity I'll be all over it whatever stage size or sound check time we would get.

And a crowd of 2000 beats the 6 we had at one of our gig last winter.

Better opening for them then following! Lol but seriously, that would be awesome man. You gotta feel at least slightly accomplished to do something like that, you know, just the kinda thing countless kids have dreamed about after getting their first guitar.

Wrong. If the 6 guys at your gig are the heads of 4 major labels, Simon Cowell, and um, Tommy Vance, they are a far better audience to have than 2000 people who want you to fuck off so that they can see the headliner.

6 hour soundcheck? Now this, I need to hear more about. What was the problem? I cannot see any reason why any band would take 6 hours to soundcheck, nor why any engineer would put up with a band whose "appeal has become more selective" taking so long. In fact, I'd go so far as to say, "Fuck you, I'll be having a lie-down out the back, come and get me when you've stopped being a shower of cunts" (as you may be able to tell, my patience is legendary, though my clients respect that and don't dick me about for 6 HOURS. Fucking hell, if it took me 6 hours to soundcheck any band, it'd be obvious that I'd be out of a job the next day, so I'd save myself a load of grief and walk there and then)
Come on man, enlighten us, what was going on for them to take 6 hours?
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!

                            I nearly broke her back
