  • Me and the wife... Anniversary

Were passing through the Cleveland Ohio area in a couple of weeks,
for a few days to see the Rock n roll hall of Fame and the NFL Hall of Fame.
And to do some shopping as well.

Just a simple inquiry regarding affordable places to eat in the evening and afternoons alike.

I love pasta and she doesn't, so something that has a decent menu to accommodate wide eating needs.

    I'll check back later.
    Thanks.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Who cares, so long as you are still "eating out at the Y" after 25 years?

Well done, erm, keep it up.
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!

                    I nearly broke her back

I gotta tell you about our experience there in Cleveland.

First and above all the 2-3 days we were there, (just passing through) we enjoyed ourselves we had a really good time.

The days inn on lakeland ave we stayed in was awful.
The pictures on the web of the place were really nice leading me to believe it was gonna be an affordable nice place.
Wrong. It was awful. Nothing like the pictures at all.

Five minutes to the Rock n roll hall of fame.
A small corner diner on the corner of Clifford and 117st was surprisingly good service with good diner food.
I'm not a big diner person but my wife every vacation or new place we go she scouts out a diner.
To say the least, I've had my share of diners over the years some okay and some really lousy.
This little corner diner the food was tasty and pleasant.

We actually liked the Edgewater alot and plan to come back next year around July when the weather will be better.
This side of Cleveland appears to be the older side of Cleveland, it may not be but it looked that way.
But when we cruised Edgewater along the Lake and seen some homes in the area, its a really nice place once past the older apartment buildings.

We spent time scouting out and learning the area so when we come back next year with the grand baby and daughter we'll minimize looking for stuff and places.

The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
I liked it BUT abit too much to read with all the exhibits.
7 floors of exhibits was cool but I got tired about the 5th floor.

Cool rock history though and many of the exhibits I really enjoyed.
The Rolling Stones section... Mick Jagger based on the outfits he is one small tiny man.

I loved the Jimi Hendrix section that was one of the better exhibits.
It was nice to see Alan Freed the one who basically started it get recognition with the exhibits.

However, the Lake was the coolest and best part to me and my wife.
If the weather would have been decent we would've spent much of the time around the Lake itself.
We both love the water and the Lake was very nice to us.

Didn't see or find any guitar stores/shops and was kinda disappointed over that.
Probably some literally downtown Cleveland but I didn't want to get in all that messy traffic for a guitar store.

The Browns Stadium, wow I liked that and a perfect location right on the Lake.

So next year we will have a Hotel on the Lake in Edgewater.
                        Hit the beach in Edgewater.
Make it a point to do the small corner diner again, friendly and good diner food.
Will hit some shopping places for the wife and daughter.
Find a guitar store/shop with in a reasonable distance.
Plan a visit possibly at a time when a known good artist will perform at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
Did I say spent time at the Beach yet.
The water was gorgeous to me and the wife, worth the trip.

We had a good time in Cleveland.
Oh, the people and behavior from some people me and the wife saw in the Lakeland ave area.
I'll say this, there are some strange people everywhere you go.

We are now regulars of Cleveland, loved the Lake alot.
It will be a regular thing we do each year.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...
