    Technically speaking, this isnt a treatment, as the GAS still remains, it just keeps you from getting your fix. It also increases the anxiety because you want that piece of gear and know you cant have it. GAS is a catch 22, youre dammed if you have the money to feed it, and damned if you dont. There is no treatment. You can only hope one day it just goes away(or not).

    I think the Herpes metaphor is a more correct way of looking at it.

      I usually find that a new axe keeps GAS in check for a few months, then it comes roaring back again, worse than ever.
      I like maple fretboards. :P
