  • MLB is Dead

But I'm going to watch these last few innings of a rare 7th game of the World Series.
    I don't give a rip, but I wouldn't bet against Laroosa <sp>

I stopped caring after my Braves finally made it Big.
The chase was more fun than the brass ring.

Terry Pendleton and team was my guys, that was old school.

Axe, YES, I have watched hockey!
Good times, I recall we talked a bit about it.

Don, Braves...Good point, the Braves helped give it to the Cards...this time.
(Point was...I don't watch MLB anymore).

tone...that was a great series, enough to bring someone back to see the "game",
          and what can be possible.
Cards were 10.5 games back prior and made it all up.
Rangers had a similar story and it made for a historic series.

I think MLB could become a small niche thing with very little TV exposure outside of a few big cities in our lifetime. Avg. fan age is now 56, and they are doing nothing to try to fix the problem(s).

I probably watched 75 to 100 maybe more Brewer games this year... MLB is great right now IMHO... now that they have rid most of the juice O matics out... some of the best ever pitching is happening right now.

The main thing wrong with the MLB is that Pete Rose is not in the Hall of Fame and that greasy used car salesman BUD is the commissioner.

NFL and NBA are a flatout joke...

If you didn't play baseball or collected cards as a kid I wouldn't try to get into MLB now cause you just won't understand.

...Not to mention screwing up NASCAR.

But yes I used to be a HUGE fan of the Braves in the 90's.
They could pull me back yet...

                      Wait!
                      Tony Stewart wins!
                      Cool!

one could say the braves, although strong in the regular season, always got their ass kicked in the world series outside of 1 year.
they never had a closer, that's what killed them, they had a great pitching staff, no closer, goes to show what
a mariano rivera is really worth.
Not helping the situation since 1965!

                          I hate baseball.

Not because of the sport in and of itself intrinsically, but because the season is TOO DAMN LONG and there are too many games per season, and I just got burned out on it.
