Yeah, Scott Ian is a decade late and a dollar short. Lars bitched 'nuff for the big 4 and then some!

Yeah...I hear ya on the Jacket!! My Denim was stolen at a club. never wanted to F up my leathers. I never replaced the denim tho..I think I was just getting to fat! Yes, I remember trying new stiff jackets to fit over my worn biker leather..it didn't work out.

Amazingly, I got still T-shirts that fit tho..

      this!

But tape trading, word of mouth, patches on your jacket, T-shirts, bumper stickers, posters..ect. Metalhead became walkin', talkin' billboards for their faves..I'm from that school.

I'm also from the school that got excited about my favorite bands new album. Taking it out of the plastic and putting it on my stereo not knowing what to expect. Alot of times leaving me a little dissapointed. But when it was awesome..it felt like you were the only one in the world that knew it. Unless you were listening with a friend sharing that moment. I remember listening to VH1 and Eruption back in '78 with by best friend. That dude learned it that week note for note. I was in that VH trib with him. That memory is carved in stone. I still have that very record! Priceless!

I never lost touch with that magic..it's all I have left for myself. Metal always gave me that joy, and I won't let any "spoiler" spoil that. I avoid reviews and make my own judgements. So, I spent an average of $13 to support a band that brings me priceless joy. Call me a throwback, douche, elitist, whatever..I wouldn't change it for the world.
Ah yes, I had a killer jean jacket with a Destruction Release from Agony patch on the back. I had my real Christian grandmother iron it on. lol

If a lot of kids got introduced to bands through pirate tapes in the west then I wonder how Scott Ian thinks about how western music spread in former totalitarian countries where all the bands love to play because of large audiences and crazy fans?

            I love you E!!!

Most fuggin' hard rock/metal CDs I bought in the mid to late 90's was a Japanese Import..including Whitesnake...and Yngwie. Poor lil' Yngwie!

Could you imagine a time when nobody gave a damn about a Whitesnake, or a poor lil' Yngwie??

You really think he's gonna look for the blame in himself when ilegal downloading is such an easy target to piss on?

Right now he ranks up there with Prince's "llegal downloading killed my comeback"

Aww hell. I remember those days.
Some of the best moments was unwrapping that album and pulling out the sleeve, checking to see if we got any extras printed on it.

Had Maiden on the back and Slayer on the breast pocket of the jacket.

Still remember going to the door wearing my DoaM shirt only to have some Ja-Ha look at me as say, "I think I'm talking to the wrong person..."

IIRC Anthrax befriended Metallica when they first came to New York and were poor and broke. Metallica probably tossed them the bone of inclusion as one of the big 4. I can't imagine how else it happened, and yeah Testament smokes them in every way, though I did like some early Anthrax. Maybe they had to include at least one East Coast band for PC purposes?
