DJ has an almost "errie" sound to his style. Unique metal tones. I really dig his disc. By the way, I think that Galaxy V when in Nelson green is way heavy but that white is just wicked, maybe a little more traditional color wise, but it really looks nice especially with your headstock shape. Just straight up badass.

So then it's settled. Just PM me for the address and I'll shoot the vid as soon as I receive both test subjects

Wow..I dig that Galaxy V man..that is awesome. My old friends Jim and Paul are "Strictly 7". I think they went bust tho. I haven't talk to them for awhile. I know Paul had a big fallout with Curran Murphy..but I think that was about studio work.

Man, Doug Mark's Metal Method..I have his Hawk CD!

I forgot who always busted Cygs balls about his amps. But everyone that played or bought one worship them! I must admit, I envy guys like you that are mechanically inclined. I can't turn a screw..literally. So I NEED guys like you!!

My niche is writing music and art..such as that teabag graphic.

I forgot which side of the brain is creative and productive. You guys have both. My brain was donated from a guy named Abe Normal..

Thanks axmann, and thanks for checking out DJ's music! You're right in that he definitely has an eerie slant to his style. He'd be great at scoring horror movies.

We both loved the V when it was green, but the original plan was to use a green screen when shooting the DVD that is now available at www.metalmethod.com (see? I'm good at this!), and the color of the guitar was causing a problem, so we went white. The color scheme was a slight shout out to a guy named Jon Sierra (RIP) of Michael Monroe's band (he's in the Dead, Jail, or Rock N" Roll video) who had a white superstrat with black back and sides. Steve Stevens did that too, and I always loved that look, so there it went!

Sully I had a gun metal grey Hamer SS ..I didn't gel with it. I seen Steve with Billy Idol and Atomic Playboys and I know he used a white faced super strat. I think that was his Yamaha sig..then he had ones with Famous Monster graphics. Until he strated playing 5150s and EVH Ernie Balls with Vince Neil. But I've seen him with a similair Jackson white/black strat before that Yamaha endorsement. Also Godin..and lots of LPs..

He's back full circle with Marshall..Celestions..and I think his favorite recording guitar is that original Jackson.

A friend of mine had a metallic green SS; I sold it for him, and while it was a nice guitar, I couldn't gel with it either; I think it had to do with the short scale. Loved that Atomic Playboys album and remember his white/black super strat, too. That dude is one hell of a player, for sure. That reminds me, he has a semi recent solo album that I was meaning to get on iTunes. Thanks for the inadvertent reminder!

Wouldja mind checking it out? I think it's really good! You can listen to the whole thing online, so check it out and tell some people, eh?

                    It's Alive!

He's also got a new DVD coming out from Metal Method on Black Friday, and he's playing his Sully Galaxy V in it, so I'm pretty excited about that!

Not the 1st time I have heard this. I wish my voice sounded like his at times, but... um.. no it doesn't

Heh, welcome to the JCF. Sully really plugs you around here. Ive seen a couple of your vids, good stuff. Also, I think a green guitar with green screen would ave been a cool effect. All anyone would see is your hand, strings and a neck. It would make for a good WTF factor.

Ha Ha! Yea when I tried the green guitar it wasn't completely invisible - it was like splotchy. I actually did think that it looked cool but from an instructional stand point and Metal Method usability it just didn't work. I n fact the green screen didn't end up working. I had to abandon that because it was inconsistent. Sully had painted it white by that time.

Sully has been awesome in helping me promote and he deserves many props!!!! I look forward to more fun guitar chats!
