I think in this era of competition, a repeat is a difficult feat to achieve. That said, I am holding strong for the Blackhawks to get back to the finals.
That said, I'd absolutely love to see an Original 6 match-up in the finals. Blackhawks vs Bruins?? (I'll be placing bets with Gary Hoey if that comes to pass )Occupy JCF

Now Pronger's season and most likely career is done for thanks to a concussion. FUCK! Not gonna lie. I mad about this. That's two of the top players on the Flyers taken down with cheap-shot concussions this season and this season isn't even half done.

Hey hey
Only in Montreal... They fired the coach... Replaced him with a "english-only-speaking" dude... The medias and the population go nuts... They have to release a quick statement about the "temporary status" of the new coach...
It happened Saturday and the news are still on that topic. It's Christmas time, the economy is going down the drain, shops are closing... But hockey is still #1! (facepalm)

RE: concussions and possible retirements. NHL contracts are guaranteed. I don't know how long Sid's contract is but it will be paid out. I think that his drive will ensure that he makes another comeback but whether or not that has him playing this year is another story. I think that his career will be a short one.
Bruins repeat? Perhaps. It would be ok by me because it is nice to have stability...the thing is, it is very difficult to repeat and just because the Bruins look great most nights these days doesn't mean that they won't struggle in the last half or even just bust in the playoffs. Strange things happen in the NHL.My Duncan Designed pickups are way better than Seymour Duncan regular pickups you fanboy.
Yeah...too bad the forum doesn't have a minimum IQ.

Players want to play, not sit at home making money off of a contract while thinking the next night's sleep or the next headache could be their last.
And Crosby's fucked, Giroux's fucked, and Pronger's fucked. Pronger was knocked so hard he didn't even know his own name. When fodder players deliberate concuss key players on rival teams, they need to call it what it is: attempted murder. I know that seems harsh but everyone knows concussions kill, yet these shit players keep handing them down to weaken rival teams.
My attitude over what's happened over the past month may seem obvious, but it's ridiculous this season, and the NHL needs to deal with it before there are no star players and no strong teams.

Oh they have to do something and I think it should be make the gear softer...they can't hit as hard as they do if they feel it too. Also, go back to wooden sticks. No touch icing and continue to crack down on hits to the head.My Duncan Designed pickups are way better than Seymour Duncan regular pickups you fanboy.

The one that put Crosby out this time was a run in with his own team mate and 2 weeks prior to that Crosby himself was cross checking to beat the band then elbowed a dude in the face.

Accidents will happen, but there are players who know how to intentionally hurt other players. Just look at the hit on Ryan earlier this season, or last season when Chara nearly took a dude's head off.

Zdeno Chara hits Max Pacioretty into the turnbuckle. Pacioretty was knocked out and left the game on a stretcher. Boston Bruins @ Montreal CanadiensMarch 8th...
That shit was nasty.
Though from Chara's perspective I am sure he saw it as a little push.

Pronger out is gonna hurt them in the long run though.
