Your Best New Albums and Releases 2011???

2012 is around the corner, I'm curious to what you think were the best new music releases of 2011?

I haven't followed much music in 2011 but I really enjoyed the new Anthrax, Worship Music.

Good tunes that bring back the 80s vibe they had. Production ain't bad either.

Marketing gurus at Jackson need to take their head of their ass and give Rob Caggiano a guitar. The guy is damn good player. If Scott already has a signature, Rob should have a Jackson in his hands too.

Symphony X also gets my vote. Iconoclast rocks too!

So what are your takes for 2011? And if you know what is coming out for 2012, go with your predictions!

Rob seems pretty happy with his current guitars but I though the same thing with Chris Broderick so maybe the possibility is there. I think he's a great player for sure and I did enjoy Worship music.

I liked the new Opeth album quite a bit. Andy Timmons Sgt Pepper cover album was enjoyable for what it is. I also like Satriani's newest release. My favorite album I bought this year by far has to be Billy Sheehan's Holy Cow though. I think it was released 2009 or 2010 though so I don't know if it counts but it's just a killer rock and roll album.

The new Abysmal Dawn, Amon Amarth and Krisiun albums were all great. Oh, and the new Under Eden album too, but I'm obligated to say that.

I haven't bought nearly as much new music this year. Trying to be good and budget conscious & not come home with an armful of albums every payday Consequently, there's a lot of new stuff I just haven't heard yet.
