  • Best place for parts (wire, pots, switches, etc)?

I've got a couple of guitars I wanna rewire, swap some switches out and upgrade pots on. I've mainly used Stew-Mac before, but is there a better place people would recommend?

I go to Stew-mac first. The other guitarist in my band suggested Guitar Fetish to me but I haven't ordered from them yet. http://www.guitarfetish.com

I've had good dealings with Axetec.

Axcessories is a good source I just used. StewMac can bee more expensive for parts. For comparison I needed a black Fender style Jack Plate and some black felt strap button cushions.

          Axcessories Vs. StewMac

          $1.95 for 10 felt $3.25 for 10
          $3.85 jack plate $9.83

Quite a difference. Also got a wood reamer from another hardware company for under $10 shipped compared to StewMac's $60.00 [peg hole reamer] + plus shipping. It definitely pays to shop around.

I like stewmac (easy to order, fast shipping), but you pay for that with $$$
guitarpartsresource I've used as well. I bought gotoh tuners in an allparts package from them.
ebay gets a lot of my business when the shipping is a good deal. I needed some bushings and they were $8 (little high) but shipping was a $1.50 vs. $7 minimum from most shops.
I looked at guitarfetish. Really low prices but I didn't see anything I need at the moment.
