saturday night we played a benefit show supporting a brest cancer charity. since it was an all local show, we were billed with a bunch of ultra heavy bands with screamers/cookie monsters. hahaha, it is always hard being the only band with a melodic singer. sometimes it is to our benefit, this time it wasn't. hahaha, the sound was changing during our whole set....the band that played before us was a screaming, old metallica type band. they were downtuned and, like most of the bands of the night were playing, were using line 6 amps. we, on the other hand, play in standard and my tone is a nice, thick tube-tone. totally different. it was so surreal hearing the sound change as we were playing. it sucked!!!! anyway, here are a few pics. i played my PC1 and my SL1. i forgot how killer they are.

the soloist is holoflake. it's a 2005. i THINK it was one of three jackson did that year. i remember seeing a holoflake DK1 in the catalog, and possibly a holoflake RR1 also....i haven't ssen any since. it is a GREAT guitar. people go ape-shit over it.

hahaha, the photographer is my wife. she doesn't have to try too hard, my singer's underwear show A LOT during a show. she ties to take at least one crotch-shot for you guys here.

Yeah that holoflake finish is sweet from an audience view. It reacts so well to lighting and always makes the instrument pop.

I'll take melodic signing over screaming cookie monster vocals any day! I've been to a couple shows where there was basically one or two bands that actually had singing and the rest were screaming cookie monster vocals. I got tired of the latter within the very first song! And yes, that Holoflake Soloist looks badass in your pix
