The live version of Comfortably Numb......

Best guitar solo of all time in my mind.

I recall listening to it aboard a boat on the Italian coast in the early 90's with my Walkman as the sun was setting.....

I have to say Comfortably Numb. I feel blessed to have seen them live and can still see the show in my head every time I hear one of their songs. Probably one of the greatest live show I've ever seen. Of course being seated 3rd row, center field and high as a kite helped too.

I like the "Animals" cd the best. Smoked a lot of pot to that one. LOL! It always makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Love that album too. Gunner's Dream is awesome!

I don't think I can pick a favorite, though. It would be like having to choose between your kids .. or Jacksons I love the entire Live at Pompeii. Some of the songs are even better there than on the studio albums.

I'm not too familiar with (all of) PF's work

But High ranking in my favorite song list is Comfortably Numb

Shine On You Crazy Diamond is another one
"There's nothing taking away from the pure masculinity I possess"

                    -"You like Anime"

It is without a doubt my favorite Pink Floyd song and easily top 5 all time.

                        What's Yours?

my favorite would be Learning to fly. Its a great song in its own right, but it has some special personal meaning to me. It makes me think of my dad alot. I learned to fly 2 years after he died of cancer. he was a pilot and I grew up with him around the airport and spent my childhood around aviation. he got out of it when the costs went up in the 80s'.

The lyrics "there's no sensation to compare with this, suspended animation, a state of bliss" really hits home with me. It reminds me the very first time I flew an airplane alone...... there truly is no sensation to compare with it. It changes a person in a way I cannot even begin to describe.

                            Bike also.

Honestly, Pink Floyd is in my top two bands of all time, right behind that
other one no one knows about (see user name...).
                            Can't possibly pick a favorite.
                            "Bike" isn't one though.

I know a mouse and he hasn't got a house, I don't know why I call him Gerald. He's getting rather old, but he's a good mouse.
One of the first cassettes I got as kid, that my grandmother bought me, was Pink Floyd's Relics. Bike always used to crack me up! I sing certain verses of that once in awhile, and my fiance thinks I'm nuts.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
