Agreed. I don't know what I'll do if they play the Flyers
Oh, you can bet your sweet ass I'll be rooting for the Caps! Fuck the Flyers!!!
Congrats Tommy on your Rangers squeaking by! As much as it pains me, I'd rather see the Rangers win it all than anyone else. I'm probably going to throw my lot with Nashville just because I like their style of play. It's damn sure been and interesting playoffs so far. Who'da thunk it?
i think the blues are going to the cup, St. Looooey that is.
The Rangers have to get this Capital monkey off their backs now, it's similar to
the Angels monkey the Yankees had on their backs until 2009 when they put them away finally.
i chewed a hole in my shirt yetserday during the 3rd period. i've already got some washington fans bagging on me
thinking this is the same ranger team as the last 3 years, they are not. lots of 1st and 2nd year guys
making this happen, Krieder is awesome, straight out of college.
Goodwood, you are not allowed to have two teams i say!!!
lundqvist, stamkos and malkin are up for the mvp. i don't think there's even a question of who deserves it, even though 60 goals is impressive,
they did not make the playoffs so that's that.
Luongo may waive his no trade clause.
The Ranger game last night was a good game 7...cool seeing two teams playing hungry and wanting to advance
what was nice was seeing the refs let them play, only 5 penalties all night, and one was the trip with 36 seconds left. i was dreading a long night of killing off penalties but it did not happen.
Yeah the goalie situation here in Van will be the story of the summer and will shape the direction the team will take in the next few years. It's been a great luxury having two very good goaltenders. I've been a fan when we had NONE.
Hellbat someone tweeted the Vancouver asked Luongo for a lists of teams he'd like to go to, Toronto was one of the teams...are you hearing any of that there? I did read yesterday Luongo would waive his NTC if it helped the team.

The penalty in the first when Spezza dove coming from behind the net was a bullshit call. That is what drives me nuts, there was a ref 3 feet away watching the play and he called nothing. The douche-noggin from center ice called the penalty. It should have been 4 on 4 hockey as they should have called the dive to. Spezza had on speedo's under his hockey pants
i'm watching the game again right now, that was a lousy call shawn. but unfortunately this is now what the game is, and
teams have to shake that shit off more than ever or else they fold eventually. it's come down to whomever holds their composure
and executes their game plan that lasts now. the refs are so atrocious that it's a crap shoot every game no matter who is favored.

There is talk of this but the GM refuted that he received a list. So far the only true quote thats out there is Luongo saying he would wave his NTC if the GM asked him. The GM in the past has also said he would never ask a player with an NTC to waive it. So It's hard to say what will happen. At the end of the day though I think only the people involved will know the truth hehe.
Tommy sadly the the refs do affect outcome and seem to want parity. You can almost predict exactly when a penalty was called. Say you have a 4-2 lead heading to the third, you can bank on the team losing to get some phantom power play a couple of times to make it closer than the game really is.
I don't typically buy conspiracy theorists like a lot of Wings fans have but each year it is becoming more and more plausible. Every year the Wings are one of the least penalized teams in the league but once the 82 ends and playoffs start they are in the top in penalty minutes. Why is that? I have seen regular season games where the Wings literally had the puck the entire game yet power plays are equal at 6 a piece...
this is going to be a very tough series, until the Rangers knock the capitals monkey off their backs, i would say
that they are still the favorites, the caps that is. They have much more playoff experience than this years ranger team who
has caught the "can't score disease" again at the wrong time too.
The rangers scored 14 goals in 7 games and won, they cannot do that against the Caps, if they do that shit, pack it up already then.
I've endured 3 of the last 4 seasons watching the capitals throw 50 plus shots a night at lundqvist, as great as he is, he can't do it all by himself.
yes he can steal a game by himself here and there but not a whole series. if the rangers win both home games then i'll possibly calm down,
if they split or worse go down 2-0, it will be from lack of scoring not bad goaltending, as usual.
this reminds me of the monkey the Yankees had on their back against the Angels until wiping them out finally in 2009 in the ALCS.
It's time Rangers, hit the snot out of them and forecheck like there's an elephant gun to your head.
shawn, it's not a conspiracy theory, it's a fact. pro sports are as crooked as a politician, and have been from the door.
i mean c'mon, the refs make a lousy call so that means they "have to" give the other team a makeup call be it a penalty or not.
it's such bullshit, and they really do control the outcome of these games. you will hear 20,000 strong today in unison screaming asshole, or these refs suck,
etc. etc. at the garden today. Yes the home crowd is always screaming for a penalty the second someone goes down, and it's the refs that have made the crowds that way with the bullshit new rules and penalties. there's nothing we can do about it, but hope that your team does not lose their composure, which is not
an easy thing to do the way the refs handle things these days.

And unfortunately the teams that have done the most shit-reffing in round 1 moved on to round 2 (well most of them anyway).
How bad have things have gotten where things look like the Flyers have played good clean games and everyone else is an asshole?
