Scheider was a rookie last year. This year he has over 20 wins and a .937 save percentage so I don't know if I would consider him a 3rd string rookie. He will be a starting goaltender for some team next year. As a restricted free agent and Luongo signed for another 37 years or so to get around the CBA we will be sacrificing our more talented goalie.

Goaltending isn't our problem this season, it's all special teams. Our PP has zero goals in about 25 attempts and has given up 3 or 4 shorthanded in 3 games. That shit will end your playoffs in a hurry. Unfortunately it looks like our guys that were counted on to keep improving and take a bigger role have regressed.

Rangers have to get back to playing their game again, lundqvist was great on saturday, it wasn't his fault.
I still say rangers in 6.

Pens are toast. And yes I posted it first. The Asham stick to the throat was fucking stupid, I agree there's no place in the game for that one. Asham will be suspended the rest of this series at least, which is all over but the crying anyway. Neal was a cats ass of crossing the line too at the end going after Giroux. I did like Crosby shooting the glove out of the way to start the brawling. As much as the Flyers historically pull out their cheap shots and Craig Berubeish tactics, I liked the Pens over aggresiveness. Sure it put the nail in their coffin, but at least the Flyers know the days of gooning on the Pens are over. The Pens will lose to the Flyers, there will be more brawling in game 4. I for one would like to see Hartnell's sorry crying ass crumpled by one of Engelland's fists, but we all know Hartnell will go in the fetal position and either try to bite someone or whine about someone pulling his hair which must be weaved into his jersey because Adams had a good handfull of jersey in yesterdays wrestling match. The Pens have fucking choked all over this series, and if I were a Flyers fan I'd be crowing to high heaven. Lord knows if it was the other way around you'd never hear the end of me crowing.

By the way, when Giroux hits free agency the Flyers better do all they can to keep him cause that boy is a stud!!! The silent one in this series has been Briere, he's certainly picked up his play too. Of course Jagr has been Jagr, which means not one Pen yet has been able to knock him off the puck. Back when he was a Pen that was what amazed me the most about him. He could have someone draped all over him, but he would still find away to keep the puck on his stick, the opponent on his ass, and still get a good scoring chance. He and Giroux have certainly made Hartnell's job a hell of a lot easier with the focus on those two. All Hartnell has to do is get open in a seam.

I don't see the Pens winning game 4 either. I'm hoping the Pens get swept and make some fourth line changes for the better next year (i.e. get rid of Asham and Park). I would love to see Martin and Michalek gone next year too. I've hated those two wastes of defenseman space for two years now...

You're reaching quite a bit there Razor.

you're dead on about Jagr though...he looks slow and clumsy until he is around the puck and then he still looks slow but gets the job done with his passing. That other exPenguin is playing well too.
My Duncan Designed pickups are way better than Seymour Duncan regular pickups you fanboy.

Yeah...too bad the forum doesn't have a minimum IQ.

3 game suspension for Hagelin, and 1 game for carkner, what a fucking joke. An absolute and true to life joke.
Hagekin hit Alfie high but he's not known for that shit, he;s a speed player for fuck's sakes. I hate this fucking league
with its bullshit. "Cockner" and his move was way worse than hagelins. 3 games, fuck you NHL right in your ass.

Yea Talbot was a great sign this past off-season. The Pens are playing like the Flyers used to- taking dumb penalties and the Flyers are playing relatively disciplined (at least for them anyway).

Giroux is signed until 2014-15 and then he's RFA along with Schenn and Couturier, they should have plenty of space to lock up all 3 of them. Once some of the dead contracts are gone- Shelly, Leighton and Walker, Carle will finally be gone after this year and they won't resign Kubina that should help out also. Sorry to see it but Pronger is probably done too, but I'd love to see him back on the ice if he's totally healthy in the future.

Yea Shanahan missed that one for sure, I don't get how Carkner doesn't get more than a game. But if we've seen anything it's that the discipline hearing is a crap shoot on what the punishment will be.

Shanny is just as consistent laying down the law as Campbell was...which is no consistency whatsoever.

i am fucking livid right now, you have no idea how pissed off i am.
latest update- Alfredson is out for tonight, and watch this new guy for the rangers who's playing for Hagelin, his name is Kreider,
he's a speedster too. looking forward to watching him play but why he is playing is from a shit 3 game suspension call.
                      Fuck you NHL.

It appears the most effective means of advancing this season is to target and cripple the opposing team's top players. Since chances are the worst thing that will happen to you is your team will take a 5 minute major. Playoff suspensions don't even have a financial burden for the players.

Yeah, Talbot has played well so far in the playoffs. His shorthanded play has always been good. Honestly, I didn't really think Talbot would be that much of a factor. You really never hear his name mentioned that often during the year, but once again he's showing up in the playoffs. The shorthanded goals the Pens have given up sure helped suck the life out of them and the power play.

I was a huge Jagr fan back in the day, and to a certain degree I still am. I've really been impressed that at 40 he can still hang on to the puck like he has. It did seem after he left the Capitals and went to the Rangers he seemed to have lost that a little bit. Maybe the time in Russia did give him the hunger again. I'm one Pens fan who would never boo him or Talbot. I can see how the majority of Pens fans have a sour note with Jagr and his "dying inside" trade demand back then. Maybe because it was a total shock as the team and city had basically let him run the team for so long. If you don't believe he had a hand in running the team, ask the old Czech coach they hired Ivan Hlinka or Kevin Constantine.

Hey Tommy, how about King Henrik standing on his head tonight???!!! Bruins - Caps game was a good one too!

Pens have a couple of hearings tomorrow. I'm sure Asham's sorry ass will be out for several games, and I wouldn't be surprised if Neal's handed three games either. Left his feet on the first hit, and the blindside on Giroux will bring Shanny's hammer swinging down hard. Everyone knew Adams was going to get his one game for the instigator. I'm still trying to figure out why Vitale wasn't playing yesterday, but I'm not going to subscribe to the theory Bylsma knows best...

the Sens have outplayed the Rangers as a whole in the last two games, they are lucky to be up 2-1 right now.
We need Hagelin back, Kreider got 11 minutes out there in his first ever game. We'd be done without HenrEEEEEEEEEK!!
