Hartnell is one of my fav players and I really like Philly.

I think Philly will win the next game because they will see that they have to be a lot smarter than they were last night. Rinaldo is a moron.

I think for Crosby, the earlier this season ends, the better - that way he cvan get some deep longer term healing going on. I'm no Sid fan but there's no reason that a guy that talented and young should have his career ended too early and with the stuff going on it is just too risky.

I am pulling big time for St Louis too...they are one of my fav teams as well.
My Duncan Designed pickups are way better than Seymour Duncan regular pickups you fanboy.

Yeah...too bad the forum doesn't have a minimum IQ.

That's the issue... Hossa HAD the puck when Torres went after him.
The way I see it, when Hossa got rid of the puck, Torres was already committed. I saw the slow mo a thousand times. He was trying to stop and his momentum caused him to leave the ice.
Could Torres have simply blazed passed Hossa instead of hitting him once the puck was gone... sure. I think he still wanted to get a good body check in.
But I don't believe it was Torres' intention for his feet to leave the ice.
      Shit happens.

If Rinaldo hadn't took the shot to Micalek's head while he was down on his knees I think he gets by with it. I think that little extra shot, and the elbow/fist shot to Micalek's head before he went down sends Rinaldo on at least a one game suspension. Like you, who knows what's going to happen when the Department of Player Safety gets involved.
if not for a fluke goal the rangers could be up 3-1 as well. I'm not worried, the boys will right on saturday, they are done fucking around with the senators, i fully expect them to win the next two games.

I like Torts and his media stuff...and how can one not respect King H stopping everything? He has been one of the best goalies for years now and people never talk about him even though he is in the 'media capital'. The rest of the team? I'd rather see the Sens squeak in.

Henrik would have a cup or two already if he were on a loaded team, he's the sole reason the rangers did anything at all
until this season, which he played great all year as usual, but the Rangers did alot of this year with 1st and 2nd year guys,
they have already overachieved, and are two years ahead of schedule in my opinion, but losing to the Sens will only help
ruin the playoffs, and i promise by Athena, Zeus and all the Gods that they will not lose this series.

Of course, Neal did the same thing and then went after Giroux and only got a game, so if Torres gets more just because Hossa went to the hospital, I've lost all faith in the "department of player safety".
Torres is a repeat offender about 6 times over. He better get 10 at least.

I was just watching this from the 94 playoffs. $500 fine.

What part of "you can't leave your feet" do you not understand??? Nothing you have said is relevant to this situation because you're ignoring the rules. Since when does "intention" matter? It's the results that count.

shit happens... with trying to lift the players stick miss and you catch the dude in the face. it is still high sticking regardless if the "intention" was to lift the stick, not send the player to the room for stitches

                      • Red Wings pack early again. They just haven't been the same team since losing game 7 on home ice in 09. Big changes coming

                        Nick Lidstrom retires
                        Thomas Holmstrom retires
Brad Stuart signs with a team closer to his CA home
Hudler gets a lowball offer and walks
Quincey isn't offered a contract (we gave up a 1st rounder at the deadline for that bum who was a bum with Detroit before)

Go after Weber or Suter and for gods sakes get some right handed player or two on the roster.

                        • That Bure hit was horrifying...the elbow is up, it is a head-hunter hit entirely. He should have been thrown out & suspended.

Detroit is tough to figure out. I thought that they'd go deep this year. Hopefully, Detroit keeps Lidstrom around as a defensive trainer or something. That guy is one of the best of all time.

Pittsburgh is hanging around...great game last night. Pit was fortunate to win though as Philly had opportunity right there.

                          • Awesome- torres got 25.

The National Hockey League suspended Phoenix Coyotes forward Raffi Torres for 25 games for his hit to the head of Marian Hossa in Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals. It's the third-longest suspension in NHL history as far as … Continue reading →

                            • Pens keep things interesting...its gonna be tough to take two more though.

Hard to believe that Torres got a 25 game suspension for a "clean hit"

                              • Torres can be the 'example' and I am all for it but there have been a few that have been ignored IMO. That one with the head punch and a head slam against the glass - the response to that was pathetic. There have been a few like that. If this one wakes some people up then so be it. I hope so. It did look pretty scary watching Hossa go out on a stretcher.
