The thing is that only one will and the people who picked that team will think that they 'knew'. The parity is just such that a small momentum swing or a small psychological victory can make a huge difference.

The calls/non-calls are still horrendous. Remember that Torres got 25 games and the WWE head smash to the glass got a token fine? Then ever since there have been sporadic 2 or 3 games and some things go completely under the radar.

good god, phoenix is the absolute biggest bunch of crybabies ever. You didnt lose the series because of the refs. You got to the conference finals because of the refs. You wouldnt have made it past the hawks. LOL.

I agree cliff about whining Yotes but I actually like to hear players, coaches and GM's speak negatively of the officiating. Us fans have been saying this since the lockout. This season's playoffs have been the worst I have seen in my 48 years on earth. It truly is pathetic.....

Oh, i agree the officiating is/has always been terrible. The problem i have with phx is they sound like a bunch of whiny 3rd graders saying "the refs beat us"... To which i could say "without the refs missing two HUGE calls, you guys probably wouldnt have made it outa the first round". And martin handzal, of all people, chirping at Dustin brown in the hand shake line? LOL. "The refs" didnt board brown or screw up a huge 5 on 3, YOU did. I actually liked the yotes, even have one of their 3rd jerseys, but ive lost a ton of respect, especially for Doan. He always seemed like a stand up guy and a good captain. Until now.

I like Shane Doan, he's usually class act. He is willing to do anything to help is team...whether its dropping the mitts, scoring a big goal. This is a good trait but on the same token he goes too far...he'll cheap shot anyone with a true intent to injure, I have witnessed this 2-3 time over the years against Detroit. He'll take a run at a guy and cheap shots against anyone in a different color jersey than his but everyone lets him walk because he's a "nice guy" with a good reputation....fuck that he'll get as dirty and nasty as anyone and lie like a rug.

The devils have clearly been the better team so far, and as far as henrik goes, yeah that sucked in the first period, but it would be nice
if the rangers had some depth, they cannot roll 4 lines, the devils can, and if it has to come down to Henrik having to steal every game on his own,
then they don't deserve to get to the finals. i would really be pleased to see Ranger forwards actually score in some way tonight, i might not
believe my eyes.

Congrats to the Devils and Kings for making it to the show. While part of me want to cheer for the Kings since they knocked off my team, I gotta pull for 40 year old Marty Brodeur to bring home his 4th cup.
