I don't care where it's made, how it's made, what it's made of, or why it's made. All I know it sounds great through any amp. It had the most stable neck in my stable. Best 300 dollars I ever spent w/case. I laugh when players talk about changing this and that..thinking that's really going to change anything. It's not...not at all. Not one single bit. Ha actually I have 2 main guitars RG770DX in laser blue and a limited run SL2H silver ghost flames. I go back and forth between these two but find myself picking up the SL2H when I need to record leads on top of an RG770 track. The Ibanez is definitely brighter.

I remember reading Tommy Victor from Prong saying that years ago... he just buys guitars as-is with their stock pickups.
Certain guitars can indeed sound better with a pickup swap, though. I've never been that much of a fan of the JB (I like them better in mahogany), but thought it sounded okay in my alder RR1T. I did want it to have more gain and a little more low end, so I replaced the JB with a Parallel Axis Distortion (PATB-2) and it sounds more brutal now!

my US Fusion is still my 'other' stage guitar. When we get a bit heavier or I need the whammy, the Fusion comes out to play. Before getting the Strat my ash Fusion Plus had been to every gig. It sounds good with the stock pickups and the 5-way megaswitch makes it a versatile bitch. It's just that the Strat is perfect for the lighter stuff we play. Plus it's my newest, so I'm still in the honeymoon period.

it's a nice sentiment. But I LOVED playing my US Fusion, hated the EMG81 in the bridge (and the neck p/up wasn't hooked up). For years it was an expensive couch guitar, played it unplugged all the time because it played so nice, didn't want to plug it in. Swap in a TZ/Evo set and I'm in love. Now it plays great and sounds great.

bought my boy an SX strat a few years ago. He had his heart set on a creme strat with a mint pickguard. So that's what he got for xmas. Squiers etc. in the price range all felt cheap and nasty. This is a really solid entry level strat and should last him many, many years. Having said that, it would absolutely benefit from a better quality bridge, tuners, the pickups are a bit thin, all relatively cheap upgrades that would take this solid basic platform and make it a really good working guitar.

Lately I've playing a CP Jaguar a lot. My standby is a Hamer Artist I've had since 02. Other guitars come into play for color or if the mood strikes me. My Charvel's and Jackson's have been put aside for awhile, Though my CS star has been calling me for a couple of days.
