    Please vote for my band Fools Faith!!!

    Q104.3 is having a tri-state band contest sponsored by Cabo Wabo. My band Fools Faith was just informed we made it to the top 5 bands. The top 5 bands were judged on talent. It now narrows down to 3 bands and its based on listener voting. The top 3 bands battle it out arena style at PC Richards Arena. If my band makes it that far we will slay the competition. Please vote for my band Fools Faith. Here is the link..

        My keyboard player chose the song to submit. Its one of the few songs on the album that doesn't have a guitar solo. Maybe he is trying to tell me something!

                      I fuggem hate the music business. We were just informed by J Clark at Q104.3 that the contest goes like this. Out of hundreds of bands they narrowed it down to the top 5 based on talent. Good so far right? Now, its an online voting competition so we have our work cut out for us. Thats the good parts. He told us that the top 3 bands with the most online voting get to "battle" it out in NYC on a Wednesday night for a 15 minute set each. Still sounds ok right?? WRONG. He told us that our "fans" will get a voting slip at the door, the band that has the most votes wins. Guess what, 2 of the 5 bands in the top 5 are from NYC. So, like every other friggin battle of the bands that we don't compete in, this turns out to be a popularity contest. When we won the international AirPlay Direct contest in 2009 and beat out 8000 bands worldwide it was strictly based on talent. Good thing we aren't competing with a quartet of 4th grade flute players from the East Village or we would all get smoked.

                        Why would Radio 104 have this take place in NYC? Doesn't make sense to me. Oh well, chalk it up as a success for even getting as far as you did based on talent. Good luck anyway!

                            Why doesn't it make sense? Q104.3 is a New York classic rock station...
