Haha, wow, yeah you experienced the 60's and 70's in a way most people our age never could. The 80's was miraculous and one big blur. I always thought you were a lot older than me. So much partying back then it was crazy, like even movies don't show that kind of crazy. haha.

Oh shit, you live in Cali too. Yeah, you know exactly what it was like back then being a teen in the 80's. That was some crazy ass shit. We didn't grow up as beginners. All my mentors were from the 60's and 70's, so we skipped the happy shit and went straight to hardcore partying.

I'm 42, smoked since I'm 14. I've known people who have smoked and had cancer as well as people who kicked the bucket from it that had never touched a cig in their life. I, and others I know have smoked the majority of my life and don't have cancer. I'm not overweight (in the 160lb range) nor am I in the best shape in the world but to be honest I believe that a lot of things that are attributed to cigs are actually caused by other things, otherwise every person that smokes would get cancer and other diseases attributed to smoking. I'm more apt to believe that most things blamed on cigs are caused by age and things encountered in work environments and such. How can I say that? Simple. When most people quit smoking they also tend to make other aspects of their life "healthier" so a person feeling better after quitting can't be acreditted to quitting alone. Are cigs addicting? Damn right they are! Most times driven by the need to do something besides go off on some idiot for doing or saying stupid shit, deal with hard times that occur in life, or other such stresses.

Find a smoke shop that sells pipe tobacco, empty cig tubes, and one of those Top rolling machines (spoon-fed type) and roll yer own. Drop the reds along with their high price.

The e-cigs are ok when you're stuck in a bomb shelter with the complainers, but a burning stick tastes better.

As for the people with cancer who never smoked, I think I have that one figured out.
