  • That was a damn shame. Between the Aints and these laughable "officials". I think I may just keep the TV off for the rest of the season.

    • it's so fucked. i had 6 overly questionable calls during the jet game.
we all saw over 22 penalties last night, and at the same time over 10 penalties not called in Ravens game.
i'm trying to spin this into a positive some way as i;'m stoned, but i'm thinking
this will give every team in the league a veritable shot to win their game no matter how lopsided
the match up may be each weekend, which could blow this season open into the sickest one of all time.
seriously, think about it. a league of teams of monsters who can run and demolish each other, some worse than others,
but with these incompetent replacement refs, the playing field is getting more evened by it. just a thought of mine.
to make matters worse, the call was not oveturned, pure give over to the home team, that's some awfully questionable shit there.

      • nobody up in arms over that call last night? it's simply something the NFL best fix, and before thursday night, but that won't happen.
saw on t.v. this morning that the commissioner, Goodell, ultimately has the power to overturn that call and give the win to the
Packers. I'm by no means a packer fan but that was a joke, and if you watch the play again, before the ball even arrives,
a seahawk receiver totally shoves a defensive back from the packers out of the play, blatant offensive pass interference.
that call last night was epic, people are thoroughly losing it this morning on every show, every website, every phone call
        and e-mail, text, etc.
What are they going to do? This season is going to be a blood pressure rocket ride if they ref the whole season.
i'm already trying to factor in the refs into this weeks picks, there is money to be made after watching last night,
just take the home team in every game, no matter what the spread is. Home teams cover the spread 67% of the time no matter if
they are favorites or underdogs. With these refs, that percentage will now rise.
That was a fuckin' travesty last night.

        • Screw unions anyways.

          • I have a feeling if this gets blown up any bigger the NFL will try to save face and cave to the union, getting the real refs back. I doubt they'll reverse the outcome of the game though.

            • what will the overzealous commissioner do about this? it's really a big deal that's got the world up in arms.

              • Danny Sheridan, my favorite odds maker in vegas estimates that over a billion dollars changed hands
on that call last night. The seahwaks had a 3.4% chance of winning on that last play, it's the first play in the NFL in
over 5 years that came through on a 96% plus chance of it not happening. man the numbers these guys run
cut into every last possible detail. impressive.

                • We should pool to together a lot of money and start our own league. Jackson Charvel Football League, or JCFL.

                  • I doubt it has the world up in arms Tommy. Maybe any fans on the wrong side of the bad calls. The only people really upset about it would be the bookies because the results aren't predictable which makes it harder for them to guarantee making money.

                    • Batty,
people are losing it over this call on every sports channel i have, and that's alot of them.

                      Whoopster,
we had a JCF fantasy football league years back, and yours truly won the inaugural season haa haa!!
I then promptly retired with the championship and didn't play again.

                      • this is a league that operates off of gambling, quite an interesting situation for betters right now with these refs,
especially if you're going to bet the money line, which applies to you betting on the underdog to not only cover the
point spread, but to win outright for the larger payoff, which happened last night.

                        • Thats what I mean. The bookies HATE unpredictable results because they can't use the spread to control their losses. Having known a couple of them (not through gambling, just hanging out in the same establishment) there is nothing a bookie hates more than losing money.

                              • Tommy, this is no more of a game changer than the fucking snow bowl... Tom Brady fumbled, but it was ruled an incomplete pass no change of possession and it lead the pates to the super bowl.
