The hooray!! Spray your shorts NFL is back thread!!
holy shit, tonight is the Ravens 4th game in only 17 days due to the prior scheduling.
that's sick, and not much rest time or time to prepare for who you are playing.
lucky for them it's cleveland tonight, that sunday night game against the patriots was a sick one.
this is turning out to be another headscratcher of a season. I will not be here to report,
i'm on a plane to New York and then into a cab across the water to jersey, I've been invited
to practice tomorrowand am trying out for Kyle Wilson's spot on defense, he got burned all day today,
and even with a lit cigarette, i may be able to match that effort for much less pay.
I'll write from practice tomorrow.
Tough loss Cyg, you guys had them, but it;'s hard to win in Atlanta, they are great team, and tough at home especially.
That was ugly for the Jets yesterday...so bad I watched Itzhak Perlman on PBS instead since I don't have Sunday Ticket.
Lions are showing their true colors at 1-3. They'll have agreat week this weekend..the Bye week, its so awesome because that means they won't have a L added to the loss column
the Jets are decimated Shawn, if they stay healthy, the texans may just make it.
They are fun to watch my man, you should be glued to the set watching the texans play,
they are awesome. and they have a defense now.
Shaub, Foster, Johnson, and an endless array of huge tight ends, they are tough and skilled, scary combination.
well, last week's Jet tank job in new england was the capper for me.
with all the shortcomings and losses to injury, and pure suckage and lack of
talent, the jets could have found themselves in first place but i guess the Patriots hypocrisy on doing their best to give that game to the jets
would only go so far. They would have been 4-3 and 3-0 in the division with their schedule finally lightening up right now.
they really fucked that game up badly last week. they have a chance to still make the post season as the AFC is not the conference it used to be.
the NFC is clearly stronger, so if the jets just beat these teams that they should beat, they still have a shot at the post season, it would
be looking alot better if they just took care of business last weekend, that game was an uppercut to my well being, they piss me off
so badly that i don't have the words.
The Texans are the best team to watch, i hope they stay healthy, and here's to the Saints who got off the schneid last weekend, and luckily i might add.
The end of that game was hairy and luckily they held off that last TD charge, and the guy was really out of bounds so at least they got the call right.
In 2 weeks I'll be watching the bills give them yardage.... The AFC is pretty weak looking this year, but the NFC isn't that much better. On average most teams are mediocre at last by looking at the win/lose ratios. Hoping the Falcons whoop Philly Sunday!
Enjoying a rum and coke, just didn't have any coke...
oddly, your GM, Hurney got axed not long after Cam's post game presser, press conference that is.
I don't think he was a bad GM, the Panthers have been in the mix since '98 for the most part, the year Hurney joined the panthers and was made
GM by 2002, but the last 2 years were the capper for a team that has been in the post season very often, and have
also won a good share of playoff games as well, they're not a 1 and done type of team when they do get in.
they've been to the super bowl, and 2 NFC Championships, sometimes the owners change for sake of change, or else there's something else going on,
and I'm sure 5,000 different people are looking for the dirt if there is any. a 1-5 start, 1-3 at home, haven't had a winning season in what is it 4 years now?
Someone had to get sacrificed.
But last year was a new QB and rebuilding, and by going 6-10 in your rookie year left alot of people with
the thoughts of instant success coming up, but this year has them tanking more than turning it around. 6 wins for a rookie QB is actually not too shabby at all in
my opinion. In the NFL at least.
Cam will be hugely responsible in regards to if and when the Panthers win their first ring, i don't think your GM was underachieving, the panthers actually have one of the highest payrolls in the sport, and are in 8th place for the amount of draft picks they have had to work with in the last 5 years or so.
Cam should get seriously shitfaced and take the microphone and address the team and tell them he's the leader of this team and to follow him.
Moral can be a dangerous thing. I like Cam Newton, this is an opportunity for him to make this his team, which is what he should do.
Newton came in with a huge head of steam preceding him.
I was kind of glad the kid did not act like too much of a big shot
at first.
2014...yeah, that's it.
Pulling for an AWFUL season and some more draft picks.
