Watching also. I don't, but should.
I want to go out nice and peaceful in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming and hollering like the passengers in his car.

I usually buy them at musicians friend. like this 12 sets for $45. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/acces...-10-get-2-free

I'm interested to see what else comes to light.

      [EDIT]

They used to sell bulk D'Addario strings - you got either 10 or 12 strings - of the same guage. Now all I see there is their Rouge house brand.

          I always buy a bunch of extra E, B & G strings as I break them often.

I try to support local shops by buying from them.

For complete sets, I go to webstrings.com. Great strings with great discounts.

BestBuy has the best prices on strings locally, at least for DiAddarios.

That reminds me that I was in a Best Buy this last weekend and stumbled on the strings section. The electric Elixers were only 9.99. I don't think I've ever seen that them that cheap anywhere else.

I mostly use D'Addario EXL125s (9-46) and not all places carry those. I started buying in bulk from stringsandbeyond.com and watch for a sale/coupon. Get them for around $2.75 per pack.

+1. I get a good price from my local dealer and I'm happy to give him that regular business.

                        I Pay $1.44 a set for bulk (140 sets) OEM D'Addario's. 10-52's

No packaging, they just come in a long box with a plastic sleeve for each guage string .

I believe these are only available to Guitar Manufacturers so if you have a connection like that that will be your best buy.

I used to get 10 packs of D'Addarios from GC for $20 out the door. They won't do that anymore... lol

And yeah, not too thrilled about buying 140 sets. lol I do go through a 10 pack quickly enough, but not enough to warrant buying more than a 10 pack at a time.

I'd like to support my local mom&pop store, but they usually want $6 a pack.

                          Hmm...

I switched to Ernie Ball Cobalts from just the Slinkies. I use 4 different guages so bulk would be a mess. $10 a set is a bit pricy but they work so good. Hopefully once the new wares off of the "Cobalt" I'm hoping the price goes down. If not, oh well.
