  • Thanks to all at the JCF

As some may know back in Feb of this year I had a seizure and it put me off work and my short term disability insurance was denied in June so no income at all.
I won't go into the details of fighting with the insurance company and the company I work for its freakin mind boggling trust me.
The fight isn't over but I can deal with it.
Anyway I wish to thank whoever it was who paid for my platinum status from the bottom of my heart you are a truly great person.
Thanks to all that have purchased guitars, parts etc you all have helped a great deal in my survival.I thank you all.
Good news is with all your help I will have all my portion of my hospital and doctor bills paid off tomorrow. Its a huge bill too and I'm relieved it will be gone.
I had to come in here and say thank you all I mean everyone for the help.
A big thank you to ~K~ for being so gracious to allow said person to pay it forward, it has helped me survive financially and I am truly grateful.
You guys here are truly great people thanks again.
    Really? well screw Mark Twain.

If it wasn't for you guys I'm not sure which bridge I would be living under right now.
Sold guitars and amps I never thought I would ever sell even sold one of my cars just to squeak by and that hurt.Getting out of debt was my goal and its finally here!!
Getting all that paid off has lifted a huge burden and all the stress related with being screwed over by my company and insurance company.
Times are tough and selling gear is like farting a rainbow but you guys came thru and I won't forget that.
I'm a simple guy don't ask for much and help folks even when I have little to give and I guess its paid off

Dude, you take care of yourself. Med bills..premiums and co-pays ..oh my. Yeeeesh. Oh, then there's the mental and physical pain and suffering too. The wife ..I don't even wanna mention it.

Your right man. Great people here. Making new friends while settling back in here myself. Well, I've been off and on here too. If anyone noticed.

Now I have an 18 year old version of me to raise. Oh the horror. Forget grounding, time-out, spanking, beatings, removing privies..ect..haaa..childs play!!! We go at it with sword and shield!!

              I love being here tho.

Straycat it took almost 4 years to the day with endless fighting the wife's employer's ins company. They want you to go away. They tried all the BS tactics. Countless doctors..back and forth. Umpteen hearings..ohhhh fuck me!! She worked there 20 years. She fell and broke a rod in her back from surgery 10 years prior. They finally accepted some responesibily..but she is screwed.

I don't even like talkin' about it. I can't play guitar for shit anymore. Listening to new riffs make me pissed because I always ran to my guitar when inspired. That's gone..done. There's no running...

My kid makes me play. So, that's cool I guess. We always had that.

So I come here and talk about my balls.. The JCF can't get enough of The Dark Marsupial.

                  No...no.
                  Thanks to YOU Richard.
(I'm not the one that paid for the Platinum but would have if I had known).

You have been extremely generous yourself!
Hopefully all will be well for you and yours going forward.

And, you've been through an incredible lot Billz.
Hope it all works out for you and yours as well.

                    Thanks Kevin and Bill.
Yes insurance companies hate when you call them everyday and be a PITA.
I just wanted out of debt and reached my goal with everybody's help here.
                    Thanks again.

I can't recall if I commented before (did you post about this?), but I used to work fighting insurance companies (United Healthcare mostly). If they're giving you hell, I might be able to offer some pointers. Depends on what they're giving you hell about and so forth. Just PM me if you want some input.

Stray, I gotta say while I've often had differences in opinions with most of the people here, personal differences aside I do find the sense of "family" here to be great and your story just reinforces that. Good to hear that things are finally looking up for you and you can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. Too many times we here about someone going through something like this and winding up battling depression because of the uphill struggle that can seem endless. I'm ecstatic to see a happy "ending" to this one. My hat's off to all of you that helped our colleague in any manner.

CFH this has to be the best guitar related forum anywhere.
I was a member of the original forum before it switched to JCF and the old Charvel Central way back when.
Made some great friends that remain here today.
Countless phone calls shooting the shit and meet ups here and there.A solid group of guys/girls I am proud to call friends.
Some here that have passed on I still miss because I considered them friends and enjoyed our times on here.

I didn't know you were struggling Stray. I sure have been.
I was turned down for unemployment, since i did not get fired or laid off, and no disability, even though
I was wrecked by a car. i will never be able to figure out how this world operates any longer, I harbor contempt for all
politicians, whack job groups, and legislation writers, policy makers, they never go without anything.
I know all about selling guitars, that was my fault, but I got treated better when i wasn't injured,
                            weird situation.
Not helping the situation since 1965!
