I must point out that in Britain as the Muslim population grows, calls for things like banning of porn as well as regulations like no pork in school and alcohol-free zones are growing.

That makes the situation worse. France with its big muslim population went with another direction, vegetarian menus are banned in schools. Meat, specially pork is part of the culture. Ham and butter sandwich is by far the most popular "snack", one of the few sandwiches which is more popular than hamburger in the western world and no politician would dare to regulate it.

Telling US to grow up is fruitless. In spite of the conservative element, America is probably the largest porn producer in the world. Any nation with a ready supply of dildos, porn conventions, sex lube in every store, and fake tits is hardly prudish.

Who gives a shit about porn industry, sex stores and other small time shit. No tits on TV, no tits on public spaces. All that has to be displayed in the public, so much as it becomes boring.

And Muslims never had their enlightment that came with our renaissance. They never had their Martin Luther nailing a shit list to a church door questioning hardliner church doctrine. They never had the people get sick of "believe in our narrow views or we'll strap you to a rack and pull your arms off." They never had their people go from "insult my beliefs and we'll burn you alive" to the more modern Christian "insult our beliefs and.........well.............fuck you." Did Christians do this shit when Bill Maher released his "religious" movie? Nope. They got mad but at the end of the day no one got hurt nevertheless killed. The last time I remember Christians getting pissed at a movie was when "Last Temptation of Christ" came out and seeing protester signs saying stuff like "we won't do business with you."
This is idiotic. The reason why Muslims won't grow up and civilize with the rest of the world is because they refuse to listen to any discussion regarding the faults of their beliefs. And because of that, they come into conflict with every other people they come across.

Big mistake using collectivist way of though and ignoring the roots of the problem. There's no "they", even though Christians and Muslims are both collectivists by default as religion is essentially anti-individualist, there's no way one can say "they" aimed to billions of people who each have different background and personality. Although you choose to ignore or simply don't know all the crimes by individuals who also call themselves christians, there's no way other individuals who also call themselves christians have anything to do with it. Idiotic belief system but the actions are still made individuals or small groups of individuals.

Dumb people need education, comparison with other things that are out there, modernization and urbanization in their environment. Conditions have to be created where discussion is possible. Look at all the dumb rednecks who believe that the world is a couple of thousands of years old, do they refuse any discussion too or they live in places with shit education and lack of culture?

The reason the islamic faith has had no enlightenment is simple. They just kill anyone who doesn't agree with them. Yes, we have a screwed up bunch of politicians. Yes, our leadership is sorely lacking but at the end of the day the only people we have to blame for that is ourselves and the sheeple who believe everything they see and hear. all you have to do is look at the people who lined up to get the new iphone to see that most people are living in a daze. Who cares if genocide is going on. By the way, if you sit on your ass and cry like a baby about our leaders and don't at least get out to vote to change things, do something or shut the fuck up! If you voted and got a lemon, try again. we have elections for a reason.

Glad to hear. I know most of the old timers here know not to take my posts seriously. I'm kinda goofy and silly and sarcastic outrage has something I've done here for more than the last decade. Anyway good discussion thread... I just have nothing to add to the original topic because I choose not to concern myself with things I have absolutely no control over in other regions of the world. It's a messed up place and for every ethnic group of people that hate us, there's a larger group of them who don't hate us, we just never hear about it because most people aren't that vocal when they like something...

I've always advocated this. We're no longer in the economic position to play global police. We should abandon every base in any country that isn't a NATO ally and we should immediately stop paying bribe money to 2nd and 3rd world countries. We should also stop free trade with any country that colludes to destroy our manufacturing and intellectual base.
