Hats off to Miguel Cabrera of the Tigers. What a rare talent this guy is to
be leading in all 3 major categories that comprise the triple crown in baseball.
He's leading in batting average, RBI's, and tied with josh hamilton with 42 home runs.
This has not been done since '67 when Yaz from the red Sox did it.
The Yankees were down 9-5 in the 13th of all innings today and they came back and tied it, and then won on an error
in the 14th and are on a 7 game win streak, and it's a good thing because baltimore is on a streak of their own and are only
1 game back. With the extra wild card team added this year, this last 10-11 games of the season are going to be hairy.
Yankes and Orioles seperated by 1 game for the east.
White Sox and Tigers seperated by 1 game for the central.
Texas has a comfortable lead in the West but the A's, Tigers, O's Yanks, and even the Angels and Rays are still not mathematically out of it,
and are only a few games off the pace.
In the National league the reds have clinched, the Giants have the west sown up, and the nationals have the east. The Braves ae a lock for one of the wildcards, and the last spot is up for grabs with the cards holding a 2.5 game lead over the Brew Crew in Milwaukee.
Weird and sick season this year. Nothing is set in the american league yet by a longshot, and at this time last year it was quite the opposite.
