^^^ I can't imagine getting "Rick Rolled" when I look in the mirror every morning.

No man, I am a Swedish Viking, that was just a transcript of a letter Dave Mustaine sent me when he was 9. Luckily age 10 he turned his life around. I am thinking about putting it on Ebay actually....or do you want to swap it for an RR1T?
You can't really be jealous of something you can't fathom.
That guy's a baby back bitch. He sounds fucking pathetic, even if his story is real.
There's people in war torn 3rd world countries that were able to get over trauma's and create successful business's or lives. There's people who were on their death bed with cancer and got rid of it and are living great lives.
I fucking hate low life beggars. If he wants an expensive guitar, why doesn't he just pimp his lame ass out?:dunno: He could probably go to Miami beach and get a couple grand a week.
Who knows he might even like it and find a new successful "career".
People in real need don't ask. People like this are just begging, or blagging more likely. A guitar isn't food and it doesn't put a roof over your head. Travelling the world I was pretty shocked how my fellow countrymen, mostly women completely ignored pot bellied kids who were obviously starving hungry. They kind of switched themselves off to them and once desensitized could easily ignore them, even eat in front of them and flick their pesky begging scrawny hands away.
You're absolutely right. How would a guitar ever be a high priority in that situation? Just curious, where did you go?
About the ginger thing, that reminded me of the Tim Minchin video Moshwitch posted not so long ago. Good stuff!
I have cancer of the balls, dick and ass...gimme your Jacksons!

Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!
"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.
But what about cold-calling celebrities, companies, forums and appealing to them for new equipment? Would you weave a tale of woe, about your sacrifice, your prized possession that you had to sell to cover costs, how long you have left to live and that this [..........] would improve your quality of life these last few months?
My last living relative, my mother, died in my arms in 2006. The economy crashed. The housing market crashed. My dog died. My girlfriend whom I was madly in love with, dumped me while I was trying to work out my loss. Yes, it's a bad country song. I spiraled into clinical depression. I couldn't get work. I couldn't pay my car registration. I couldn't pay my phone bill. I didn't have a vehicle for nearly 2 years and didn't have a phone for over 1. My power would be turned off regularly. I didn't have running water for as long as 3 weeks on one occasion. My health was deteriorating fast. For nearly a year I had a budget for food that was between 1-2 dollars a day, many times, even less. Top ramen, potatoes, butter, cheese, days old bagels... were my staples. I sold off a number of my "prized possession" guitars here and on ebay. I sold off most of my prized firearms collection. I was living worse than homeless people. I sold off my most prized Ouija boards. I had the feeling that I had accomplished what I needed to do in life, take care of my mother until she passed. It came to the point where I was ready to go. For the first time in my life, I not only seriously considered suicide, but was ready. I wasn't afraid to die. I'm still not. For some reason, I couldn't get past the feeling that there was still something I had to do, but still no idea what that is. I'm stubborn, and I'm used to helping others, not feeding off them so it was beyond me to ask for help. That was 2 years ago. I'm not depressed anymore. I'm mostly happy. End of story, move along...
I don't care what you're going through, you shouldn't beg for anything. Asking to meet some of your idols, that's completely acceptable. Asking for gear? I think the guy is a douche.
The 2nd Amendment: America's Original Homeland Defense.
interesting, man. He has a GT10 and also mentions having 4 M-audio BX8s. Just googled them - seems they're a $4-600 monitor. Shame he has to beg for a guitar to play through any of this stuff.
