I just got back from the doctor and along with the prescription meds he suggested Braggs Apple Cider vinegar with mothers. He said that many of his gout patients swear by it. He did say once the flare subsides a couple of beers would probably be fine but only time will tell. If I have a few and it flares up I have to abstain if I dont get a flare proceed at my own risk.

thankfully you weren't here when his tuberculosis flared up! And then there was the aphonia, croup, eclampsy, catarrhal, phthiriasis, aphtha & cacogastric.

I was going to ask you about cider. Been on a cider kick lately. If cider vinegar is ok, how about cider instead of beer?

Yeah, people think this is a home remedy or wives' tale but it works.......there is a research study on this........eat 6 cherries a day and if you start to notice a flare up eat 20 cherries a day until the flare up goes away...anymore than 20 does you no good...........I have gout and this has worked for me.........I take one pill a day and drink beer and eat steak regularly but if I notice the foot starting to hurt I will cut back on heavy portions of meat and cut the beer a little(not too much ) and eat plenty of cherries and double up on the pill ( I will take two if I feel a onset coming on) that is at 100mg per pill.....yes and btw the doctor told me to do that..........bro, believe in the cherries.........they are your friend!!!..........MM
