I'm in the middle of this shit storm and so far, so good. Rainin' like a mother f-er and wind is kicking but haven't lost power and no trees have come down...yet. The important thing is, I can still play guitar and fuck around on the internet...

We've had 60mph gusts so far, but it's coming ashore right where I am later this afternoon, so it should be interesting. Hope the power stays up, but I doubt it will.

We regularly get 70mph gusts over her in the UK all year, but a constant 70mph is another thing.
Why is it called FrankenStorm anyway? It's fuelling the conspiracy theorists that believe that oit was man made by HAARP. It's Solar flares, and they are going to peak in 2013, so there could be worse to come..? At least Obama is doing the righteous pre election thing by warning everyone to take heed. Better than certain other past presdients I could think of.

Take care all. Be safe and don't get ass raped by a RSJ.

Because it's an amalgamation of several storms to create one monster of storm... I would've thought you'd know that, what with Mary Shelley being a Brit and all that...

We lost power at work (in Maine) at about 3pm. Still have power & internet here in NH, but who knows for how long...

They are expecting Armageddon here in western New York... 25 foot waves on Lake Ontario, flooding (has been raining here since Friday, so ground is already saturated), and the falling leaves will wreak havoc on drainage.. Expecting winds to pick up tonight, they are already at 40+ mph, gusting to 60.. Good time for my wife and I to have the house to ourselves for the first time in 11 years...
Bon Jovi is like a frozen Coca Cola.. It's cool, it's crunchy, but when all is said and done it is still pop....

still have power in Hudson but most other areas are out. I'm guessing we'll be out soon. It's weird where it gets really calm for a bit then we'll get a 50 mph gust...

Thank you.. If anything happens out this way, I will let you know.. As of 4 PM, there were 3800 people reported without power, but they are south of us..

Not too bad up here. Have some wind gusts, and it seems to have stopped raining. I'm in the middle of the sticks so I'm pretty much guaranteed to lose power, but it hasn't happened yet. They don't do much out here with dead branches and trees. Last year some trees were marked with big red X's before Irene and they never took them down. I bought a shit ton of AA batteries for my pocket pod and everything. I was all prepared.

I have some family in New Jersey and heard it's pretty bad right now. Hope everyone in the center of this thing is safe.
