Gillis just got hung by his Luongo contract. Forced to trade his better goalie because of Lou's NTC. Talk is the ownership can't afford to buy out Luongo's contract. (The owner is in the midst of a nasty divorce I believe.)
Apparently the kid we got for Jersey's draft pick is a solid player though so that's good at least. NJ got a killer goalie for a bargain to replace Brodeur (in the long run.) It was a very deep draft this year.GTWGITS! - RacerX

what happens when the flyers release him next year too and have to keep paying him like bryz?
i'd like him on my team in reality, he could possibly still do some damage, but that's alot of bread in my opinion.
i'd give him one year and if it went well then i'd pay him, but im sure his agent wouldn't go for that. Not helping the situation since 1965!

Getting bought out of these giant contracts is probably every players fantasy. Their old team is on the hook to pay them for several years and they are unrestricted free agents that can sign for millions (sure fewer millions that originally contracted for typically) anywhere they want.
I bet Lecavalier's finance manager just ordered himself up a weeks worth of hookers and blow.GTWGITS! - RacerX

Tyler Seguin traded on my birthday for who??? Fuck em'. If the little punk took his ridiculously overpaid job seriously he could have helped the Bruins win another cup. Now I can watch him burn Dallas' $ without getting pissed. Horton too...you're welcome for the ring. You still would've been rotting in FLA if not for Chiarelli. Good luck.
No, I'm not bitter...Hear the universe scream
