And I agree Xeno, that was a clean hit all day long in my books.

"Throughout the series, the Rangers had 28 power play opportunities to the Capitals' 16, clearly a source of frustration for Ovechkin. Washington wasn't even awarded a power play in Game 6, while the Rangers had five chances."
That is the key to me. Ovie is right. I watched a lot of that series and the play was not lopsided on the infraction front but it was ridiculous on the call front. The example that I mentioned earlier with about 8 Rangers on the ice and one of the fresh replacements carrying the puck but the too many men penalty goes against Washington. Crazy. If Pitts had Ovie instead of Crosby, they would have 2 more Stanley Cups IMO.My Duncan Designed pickups are way better than Seymour Duncan regular pickups you fanboy.

Looks like Chicago is starting to come unglued while Detroit is coming together. The mix of a bunch of rookies with vets is looking good. The kids are tough, back down to no one , learning good work ethic from the vets and vets are getting re-energized by youthful playoff excitement.
Toews, Keith and Seabrook have the "oh fuck, they're beating us for real" look. The kids are not backing down and taking everything Chicago throws at them and not getting flustered like the experienced Chicago team is.
Thursday Chicago will throw everything that have at Detroit, probably whine a bit more and get a couple more free power plays for being whining little bitches. Detroit will have to answer the call, they'll need to play thei best game of the playoffs.shawnlutz.com

now, that said, do i detect a little swelling around the throats of the blackhawks? nope. the wings still have too many players
that are proven and can play. if the ducks had won game 7, the hawks would be playing the sharks right?
might have been a better matchup, but this series is far from over.
back in 1998, i watched the Yankees literally destroy the whole league, all saeson. it was really sick. they sweep texas in round one,
and then they played the Indians to go to the world series. cleveland took a 2-1 series lead, lots of people panicked,. and the yankees
got it together and mowed them down handily. let's see what the hawks are made of now. a little adversity can be a great morale booster. Not helping the situation since 1965!

I'd come unglued a bit too if I had that goal disallowed last night...I'd come unglued o the refs for not calling that hit on Franzen too. That said, Detroit is coming together and has been playing playoff hockey for a month and a half - remember when the press was saying that it would be the 'first time that Detroit has missed the playoffs in X'? Detroit is an excellent team with a solid goalie...with The Mule, Zet and Dats having a fairly deep supporting cast, they can compete with anyone. I do think Chicago will step up their game (I disagree with the whining little bitches part).
