BIZARRE series for the Pens. I'll give a ton of credit to the Boston D and especially Rask for their phenomenal play, but something just isn't right. The highest scoring team in the regular season and playoffs (4+/game) with several of the best offensive threats in the league just doesn't get shut out twice and score two goals total in a 4 game series...it borders on absurdity.

been there, done that and watched the Wings golf when they should have been in the finals. As frustrating as it is that is part of what makes the playoffs so special asany of the 16 teams can win. I really doubt anyone at the start of last years playoffs would have thought that the Kings as an 8 seed would win the cup.

This is going to be a pretty good cup final. I can't wait for it to start. 7 of the top 10 in playoff points are on either Boston (4) and Chicockgo (3)

I honestly think this has to be one of the worst playoffs for officials in the playoffs in recent history that I ever recall seeing. I mean every year there are a couple of WTF calls or missed calls but this year but I don;t know how many game winning goals of game tying goals that should NOT have counted because a penalty should have been called. Just again last night Bickell tripped Williams behind the net that led to Kaner's second goal that gave then a 3-2 lead late in the 3rd. There has got to be 6 or 7 of these things and I saw only one in Detroit's two series.

it has crossed my mind a few times...especially in late 3rd period goals or OT goals scored late in OT or multi-OT games.

milbury actually called them out on nbcsn. Showed the Chicago/Detroit call, and another one in the pesn/bruins series that directly led to a gwg.

That being said, in OT/2OT they aren't callin anything unless theres blood or its automatic, like delay of game.

I know it. The thing I like about Milbury is, he was a career long Bruin (player and coach...very good in both capacities) and he is very unbiased in all his assessments. The guy tells it like it is whether it favors the B's or not. He'd probably make a great ref.

Yup, Millbury may have sucked as a gm, but he's pretty damn good in all his other hockey related roles...remember the shoe!

A lot of people don't like Millbury but I like anyone who says what they feel and are unbiased. I agree with him on a lot of different topics t but sometimes I'm like ..."WTF" ? I like the older cats views who played the game, Milsy and Mickey Redmond, Jonsey etc before primarily the nancy-boy direction or pussification the game seemed to turn several seasons back. I hate diving and embellishing with a passion and when I played that was a sign of weakness...you keep the feet moving and battled through it ....one handed baby hooks are 2 minutes, baby slash of balsa wood strength composite stick is 2 minutes aren't REALL penalties, they are pussying up to increase offense is all.

I am expecting a good series although I don't think Chicago can handle the tough Boston game.

...and Chara wasn't even a Norris nominee this year - that's F'd.

Some of the best players who get the least press - that's what the Bruins have. I really couldn't see anyone beating Pittsburgh this year until game 2 of the series with Boston...that made me realize that game 1 wasn't a fluke.

milbury will never get a front office job again. if the kings had done that to a blackhawk like what the hawks pulled on kane's goal, the whistle would have blown.
i promise you it would have. the zebras suck the sweat off a yaks balls, and there will be plenty of bad calls in the finals.
there's plenty every year in every sport in all playoffs. it's ridiculous. hate the zebras more than anything else.
i'm personally keeping a scorecard of all outright questionable, greasy, or downright horrible calls by the refs, including the game situations they are called in.
i'll get to the bottom of this shit. haven't decided who i want to win yet.
