May go back at some point and get the Burris AR332 scope because I liked the reticle and BDC option.
The Vortex is really very nice and can't wait to get it zero'd in.
Yeah fix the car it has sentimental value and worth fixing up.

I put my AR build on hold temporarily as I bought the car that was my Dad's when he passed away. It has sat static for 6 years or so and is going to need a lot of work just to get it running and reliable. Its not a real special car per se, but, I need a work car that has the perfect blend of power, MPG, and comfy ride. This car fits the bill plus it puts me in the old man's car. -Lou

I got shipment confirmation that two lowers I ordered yesterday, and two Palmetto uppers I ordered two weeks ago shipped out today. One upper will go on my OD Green USM4 lower I bought last month, and the other one will go on a Tan USM4 lower I ordered yesterday. The Tan build is for my step dad, and the OD Green one is for me. I'll post pictures of them once I have them together. I'll have an extra Silver USM4 lower waiting for the other Palmetto Armory upper I ordered this past Saturday. Hopefully I get lucky and snag another BCM bolt assembly from Bravo's website like I did last week to round out the third and final build.

Added a Vortex strike fire red dot today.They get rave reviews for a mid priced red dot.
Came with a doubler and AR mount.
Almost bought a Bushnell but it was $400 and this was $179.

I'm hunting down some 30 round mags for my VZ 58 those can be hard to find.

Never tried a P mag and deff won't buy one unless the price comes back to normal.

Just buy them from here. They're going to back order for a long time (figure at least two months), but it will be worth the wait.

I've also bought them from here. A little higher, and expect at least a five week back order. You have to scroll down to see them. Don't order anything but black as that's the primary color Magpul is pushing.

I've never tried a Thermold either. My Gen 2 PMags and Colt mags work well. I kept a couple of Windham 30 round mags and four Colt 20 round mags from rifles I sold on Gunbroker last month so even after selling some PMags on Gunbroker I'm still in real good shape. I also have 10 Gen 2 PMags on backorder from early January that I'm in no particular hurry for.

I can get the Thermold mags for 16 bucks but have never tried one.
I use old GI mags with the brown followers.The sure fire mags work really well I was skeptical at first.
Deff love the vertical fore grip its a very useful upgrade but don't care for how they look.

I've been debating co witness, and I think I'm just going to suck it up and do the absolute co witness. The Aimpoint PRO comes with a flat top mount and if I remember right it will do absolute co witness and has a spacer to adjust co witness.

Rick, the Pringles lid gets me every time. That and the TherMelt reference!

Razor I have no clue on the scopes most are way out of my price range too.
I would like to have a decent red dot of some kind but I will have to use a riser to get it over my front sight.
IMO it looks kinda funny like that.

Can anyone recommend a decent scope for an AR that won't kill the wallet? I'm going to make the USM4 AR a scoped longer range AR. The Colt is going to get an Aimpoint PRO on it. I have a Nikon Pro Staff on my Mini 14, and I really like that scope. However, the Leupold Mark AR Mod 1 3x9x40 has perked my interest too. I like the Mark 4 HAMR with the DeltaPoint reflex, but that one's way out of my price range. Basically, I'm looking for a good sub $500.00 scope.
