Sheriffs all over the country are saying no they will not disarm their residents no matter what the Govt says.I like those guys.
We have a shitty female sheriff here so it wouldn't surprise me if she caves.
She won't sign a form 4 for anyone in this county so we have to go the NFA trust route if we want full auto.

Every cop knows the bane of gun crimes and the biggest problem is cheap never-ending-in-supply "saturday ngiht specials," not hunting rifles with tons of plastic add-on shit on them to make them look military. Rifles are almost never used in gun crimes since they're not as easy to conceal as a "saturday night special."


IF politicians did some real research they'd know this, but they don't care.


They don't even care that the Sandy Hook shooter left the rifle in the car and used pistols.


They just want Americans made weaker and weaker so instead of going after the biggest bane in gun violence they're targeting the strongest weapons. It makes me sick.

I still haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Ammo was a bitch to find locally.
I picked up 50 rounds of 165 grain JHP for $40 the other day. Frikkin highway robbery compared to a couple of months ago.
WalMart HAD 100 rounds of 180 grain FMJ going for $42, but ran out before I could get any.

On a good note, I picked up a new Blackhawk CQC Serpa holster for $30 on fleabay. The nice ones made of Carbon fiber. They usually sell for around $80 retail, so not a bad deal at all.

A few decades ago the politicians were complaining about "cheap saturday night specials" as the problem. Its not those guns nor the "assault weapons" that are the problem. They will solve nothing crime wise until they realize they shouldn't be going after guns but rather the criminal that misuses them. They need to leave us law abiding gun owners alone.
On another note, I did go to a gun show last weekend. There was no shortage of AR-15's, mags, or ammo but the prices were insane! I'm thinking the gun grabbers plan is if they can't outlaw our guns they'll artificially inflate the price in effect achieving the same goal which is unavailability :think:

Pretty much this. It's not about lessening gun violence, that's just the excuse. It's about getting people to surrender more and more of their freedoms. That's all it's ever been about. You think government cares? Inanimate objects are to blame for everything, not people according to liberal logic. People are fat? Ban large sodas. People smoke? Tax cigarettes until they're expensive for many. People drive SUV's? Add gas guzzler taxes to make them more expensive. The lack of liability and personal responsibility of people as individuals sickens me.

And a lot of this is driven by desires for outright social control. Obama, Feinstein, and the rest of the left know assault rifles were not used at Sandy Hook but they're using Sandy Hook as an excuse while Obama surrounds himself with children to attack guns he knows were not used anyway. Why? My guess is a guy with an AR-15 can do more to stand his ground against soldiers with AR-15's than people with small weaker handguns can. I don't mean to get tin-foil-hat political, but Obama and democrats want a one-party nation where you're either with them or you're socially and politically powerless, and this is one part to make sure they get it.

And from what I've heard, gun sales have been going up steadily since Obama took office, so maybe the prices you saw were demand-pushed?

She and other democrats are arguing that they're not infringing on your rights since when it was written all people had were muskets; never mind the "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" part. The elft is good at "re-interpreting" the Constitution to get it to "imply" whatever they want.

I actually had refrained from clicking on this thread under the assumption there would be a lot of anti-gun posts, but damn it is good to read what I am reading. I'm 40 and if you had told me years ago this country would be heading in the direction it is now, I would not have believed you. Several other forums I belong to it has gotten so bad I ignore any posts other than those regarding music/gear/etc. - maybe it is the younger members having been indoctrinated with this crap from day one, but it is sickening. To think where we are headed... if things continue as they are makes me envision the future resembling something like the dystopian society Neil Peart painted in 2112. The criminalization of drugs has not kept them out of the hands of anyone, especially the criminals, and it would be the same with guns. This "gun control" b.s. is nothing more than furthering the sick agenda of the powers that be. The only solution to 1984 is 1776...
