The big dogs on the Mauser forum have spoken. Either I do the trade for it or give them the phone number to the shop so they can buy it.

I'll be taking my lunch break tomorrow to seal the deal. The thing is covered with 280 stamps. The one on the receiver looks like 358 to me, but I'm clouded by delusion right now! What a stroke of friggin' luck on this one. The past two months have been very damn good to me and my milsurp collection!!! I need to go buy a lottery ticket!

If the big dogs have barked then go get it and let them drool.LOL

I was offered an older belt fed Vector RPD today and really tempted to trade for it.
I may need to sell some guitars/amps looks like.

I have a local dealer who carries LWRC. Pretty good people, I haven't bought anything to speak of from them, but every time I go in the treat me like I've spent a bunch of money there. The place is called Peck's Feed and Supply and phone number is 304-384-3334
Thanks Razor. I'll check out DSG and give Peck's a call. Much appreciated.

The deal is done and it's officially mine. Cost me a Colt 1911, but I'll find another one down the road. Still have another Colt 1911 in the safe so it's not that bad. Now I get to go home and clean her up after work and Valentines festivities are over!

Updated pictures with the varnish removed from the wood, and several healthy coats of lemon oil applied. If lemon oil's good enough for the guitars, it's good enough for gun stocks!!!
