Its growing on me for some reason its just different enough to be kind of cool.
Still white tolex would kick ass.
The star theme is cool but the the goose? LOL ummm no.

Looks like either someone shot the swan, or it got caught flying under the flock!

Part of the Cygnus name, back in the early 90's...was a joke.
Or a series of jokes that came together.
Had nothing to do with Rush.

The Cygnus X-1 is the legendary black hole, the one that Hawkings lost the bet about.
"Throwing all of your money into a black hole".

On a more serious note the legend is also that the constellation held an event that inspired
the spark that gave humans the power of reasoning and invention over the animal kingdom.

And we've heard of the "Swan Song", the last gasp before something goes POOF.
I took it lightly like the Led Zeppelin joke.
"That band will fall like a lead balloon"!
And ran with it.

The Rush thing came later, and not unwelcomed.

Cyg this is a great thread I hope the forum can help you out with this.
Maybe call your amps "Black Hole Amps". Kinda gives it a dark foreboding air about them.
That sounds better than Trainwreck IMO

OK i redrew the swan since it looked like a it was taking a nose dive, this time i tried to make it look like it was taking off. I think the neck should be a bit longer but i'll wait for some feedback.



EDIT: Elongated the neck and made it look a little bit more swan like and adjusted the positioning of the stars to fix some of the proportions.



EDIT AGAIN:

Simplified and refined the outline, fixed some typographical errors that were catching my eye and adjusted the swan a bit more. Feedback is appreciated!!!

Cyg, I agree with JMV on the tweed jobbie. Either black tolex with the wooden fascia. Or stain or colour the fascia to a darker colour, something that contrasts the tweed but differentiates from the black control panel. Maybe a dark blue, burgundy, something like that? And then pop some blue leds behind the logo to light it up when the amp is on

I like the logo but I would lose the MUSIC part of it. Makes it sound imported. Many import music companies use MUSIC in their names.

If you want to use a word.. use AMPLIFICATION and make the font smaller so that it fits.
