Laptop Screens for 13" Macbook?

I need a new screen for my 13" black Apple Macbook. I broke the screen the other day, by setting the computer down hard on a counter.

Does anyone know where I can get an inexpensive screen? Or is it worth just selling the whole laptop as parts and getting another one?

What year is it?
Is it a Macbook Pro or Air? Air display cannot be replaced, the whole lid has to be replaced.
They're not that expensive on the non-retina models.

It's just a Macbook; one of the black ones. It looks like a new screen is gonna run me about $100. If I had a later model, it would only be $50. The thing is I only paid $280 for it a couple of months ago... I wouldn't mind paying around $50, but for $100 I might as well sell it for parts and upgrade to a newer model.
