  • This kid rocks!

Let me start by saying I am NOT a drummer. Never tried it and wouldn't even pretend to know what I am doing behind a kit. Saying that, I have also seen some absolutely ATROCIOUS drummers out there that IMO have even less justification of sitting behind a kit than I do.

This kid is not one of them.

AND HE'S ONLY 6 YEARS OLD!

The kid is great just think when he builds some strength growing up.
He is going to be brutal!

That was awesome! Saw this one the other day of a 5-year-old. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5z4PKBNzmuo

This version of "Over the Mountain" is AWESOME!!!
I cannot believe that the drumming is from a 6 year old. If I was just listening to it, I'd say it's at the very least, a semi pro with at least a decade experience. But the vid proves me WAY wrong:

I created the different double bass rhythm. Gotta watch me playing with a GREAT OZZY Tribute band → http://bit.ly/2fyMPVqSUBSCRIBE THEN HIT THE ? → http://b...

My only talent at that age was getting into deep trouble.

              Cool.
Call me a pessimist but it seems like these savants never really get very far.
Excellent at copying, but then they hit a spot where either they are bored of
it, or they have no basic foundation to continue.
Or they get worn out by the fawning of adults and just want to get away from
              the attention?

              I don't know.

I think Liberace had something to say about it...IIRC.
He said he was a terrible pianist and had to fight for every bit of progress.
While other recitalists were able to capture "the notes" with frightening accuracy,
he put his own spin on things.
And piano teachers HATE that behavior.
He got over it and became Liberace as the prodigies faded away.

For those who don't much about him, he was a flamboyant showman that had incredible
talent to play anything from Jerry Lee Lewis, to jazz, to the best of classical with style.
