  • Atomic whack job health thread

holy smokes people, i have turned into a moron. been working out 6 to 7 times a week. quit smoking cigarettes for 12 weeks now..
no drinking, no drugs, no marijuana lately either believe it or not. not because of a sober thing, just because i'm taking a break from the
beloved weed. i will always be a big fan and supporter of the stuff. weird shit going on i tell you. here's the biggest weirdo twist of all.
are you sitting down? i'm slowly changing my diet from a pure red meat and grease and pizza diet to a healthier one.
food is a tough give up, but i honestly feel better.
and the biggest change of all, the joint posted below is the only water i will drink. water is a big fuckin' deal people, bottled water is a scam.
it's crap, and it's still too acidic. that is fact. i swear on anything that "might" be holy, i feel great, and look like a champ right now.
i'm 48 and i'm told i look 30 to 32. if you have a water place like this near you, trust 'ol el headacheo here and get on the stuff right away.
the water into your house is poison. the bottled water in the stores is a scam. i'm telling you, i'm ready to fight mike tyson in his prime right now.

quick read on what i buy. it's pricey, but so were the 3 and a half decades of narcotics, booze and cigarettes i bought.

Nice. I like the water images section. Are you sure this isnt spam for a new investment of yours? The rangers need this water for the ice in msg. The zamboni needs to get healthy. Are there at least hot chicks hanging out at this place?

Good for you Tommy. You are what you put into your body. I'm 49 and in great shape. I usually put on about 8-12lbs in the winters because I get lazy and hate running on a treadmill. We started getting free food at work so I've been having good healthy lunches...I didn't gain a pound and only ran maybe once or twice every 7-10 days. I try to eat as healthy as I can and exercise several times a week now that its spring. If I don't run for 3-4 days I get annoyed easily. I'm not a big water drinker, gatorade, fruit juices for me.

I sweat a lot when I run, I look like I just stepped out of the shower after I run so I drink a lot of gatorade afterward. it still is better than soda

                    nice work, Tommy.

Best change I've made to my diet lately is reducing refined sugar. Read an article in a fitness mag about the author's challenge to himself to give up processed sugars for a month and thought I'd try it myself. Not easy, I tells ya! You have to read the ingredients on the packaging of EVERYTHING you eat. A lot "diet" products load up with sugar to counter the lack of taste from all the fat removal. Even some of the health food stuff I was already enjoying (mmm coconut apricot balls) are teeming with sugar. Anyway, to my point. By removing as much refined sugar from my diet as possible, I dropped 5 kg (around 12lb?) in a month with no changes to my levels of exercise. And I was eating pretty healthy beforehand - lots of fruit & veg, grains, etc. If I wanted a sugar hit, apples, oranges, bananas or dates, would get me by.

Finished the challenge about 6 months but have continued to keep an eye on sugar intake ie. still no sugar in coffee, reaching (usually) for dates instead of cookies. Still don't exercise enough. Still maintaining.

i adore gatorade but it's got a ridiculous amount of sugar in it, i like my waist flat, and at 48, you gotta drop stuff that has 30000 grams of sugar in every bottle.
the water i drink is like cocaine, makes you feel revved.

sugar, as much as i love it, is really detrimental, it's elementary my dear G. it's a bitch to drop after ingesting it for 47 straight years in mass quantities.

to put it in perspective, think of a gram of cocaine. although quite easily to consume and is dustable, and quickly i might add,
it's still a fairly tidy sum of powder. now think of 30 grams of sugar that are in one gatorade. talk about a tidy sum.
that's a shitpile of sugar. don't get me wrong, i'm not happy about this. i love gatorade, but i have to drop the stuff for now.
fuck, more than 30 grams in a gatorade.

                            Great job, Tommy.

A little over a month ago I got alcohol poisoning from drinking way too damn much over the course of 5 days. I blacked out in the bathroom and woke up with a busted lip, broken front tooth and probably an ulcer too (not sure didn't go to the doctor). After that I knew I had to change something; I haven't had one drop of alcohol and I've been working out 6 days a week. I've been using the Insanity program, where you just pop in the DVD and follow along. I've already lost about 10 pounds and I'm starting to look pretty damn good if I do say so myself

First time I've had a six pack this defined and I still have another month of Insanity to go!

I drink mostly water as well, but I just drink tap water, I know not of this "Holy Water" of which you speak. I also eat a lot at Subway because I'm too lazy to make my own healthy meals, I figured if it worked for Jared it will work for me too

After I made these changes, I feel fucking fantastic! I don't even miss drinking alcohol, not to say I wouldn't drink again though... Plus chicks are checking me out more, which is a huge advantage!

god damn inspiring pal!! nice job yourself. although i prefer playing sports, and have never liked working out, for some reason i do now. i can't stop.
an added bonus is that the gym out here in newport beach california is suffice it to say overloaded with tail. it's fuckin' ridiculous. seriously, it's a condensation
of 7 through 10's. everywhere you look. that inspires you too.

check out the "holy water", i like that term maiden, good one, and congratulations on your bounce back, feels good don't it? sometimes i am so cooked after working out, i actually feel high.

maybe there's a place where you live that does this.
